Positive: Lots of nice touches to feel.at home, very helpful hosts, beautiful breakfast for small charge.
Negative: Entry was confusing and difficult due to building work on ground floor. Floorboards very noisy, so difficult to sleep when people walking around.

Negative: Poor check in experience - would be better with key box and detailed instructions. We only stayed overnight, so the small issues weren't too bad, but if we'd been staying for longer we would have been disappointed - towels for only 1 person and no spares, no spare pillows, no instructions on how to use heating etc, no info on the local area, no light at top of stairs (socket not working), steep stairs not mentioned in description. We arrived on a Saturday evening to find nothing open as there was a locals-only event on - thank goodness for the pizza delivery place who seemed to do a roaring trade with the other gite arrivals in Guines! It would have been good to be notified of this so we were prepared with our own food for the evening.

Negative: Very well designed and decorated. Very clean with all the facilities you could ever need. 15 minutes from the tunnel. I would highly recommend it.

Positive: Google directs you to the wrong address for this property! I believe you should not have to wait until 6pm to enter your accommodations. We were walking the via Francigena, it was cold and raining and eventually the owners worked out we must have been at the wrong address and looked for us there (this made us think that this had happened before). The entry is a little creepy but once you get inside through 3 locked doors, the apartment is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The only draw is the creaky floor boards, especially upstairs in bedroom.
