Positive: Cosy, very friendly and helpful staff. Modern room, good breakfast including fresh fruit. Good value, would return. Had problem with room being misrepresented but manager apologised and offered us free breakfast to compensate and a small discount as room was v hot despite a fan. An unexpected bonus. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Arrived at beginning of spring - unseasonably hot so air con not yet functional.
Negative: Windows tricky to open, wasps liked our room( not hotel’s fault!) shower not ideal for washing hair but ok. Shower a bit old fashioned otherwise bathroom was good.
Summary: Excellent, helpful staff, location excellent, breakfast exceeded expectations, would return.

Positive: Was very impressed by room number 6's design as there was no chance being woken by banging doors or other rooms and really liked that the tub was in the bedroom offering a more luxurious vibe. By partner is obsessed with La Banquise - which I found out only after I booked, so it was great to find out how close you are to one of the best poutine places in the city!! We walked down on Sunday - the only day we got sun and greatly enjoyed the journey. The staff were incredibly pleasant and I loved the unique design of the hotel thanks to the incredible architecture of the area - that made this a really cool place to stay. I loved the area since you walked right out the door onto the park, I hope to stay here again once we have warm weather to make the most of the location! Absolutely picturesque!
Negative: There was so much dust in that room. Pretty sure no one had used the tub let alone the jets for a long time. First time we filled it, there was so much dust we had to wash it ourselves. Once we filled it and turned on the jets, more dust came out in the forms of black and grey chunks in the water. Had to drain and do this a second time, more dust came through and we had to drain again before filling a third time and seeing clear water we wanted to get into. There were MAJOR dust bunnies in that bedroom and the shelft above the bed that makes the headboard had a layer of thick dust in some spots, thinner in others so I could see that last cleaner did not fully dust that area. I wrote "ew" and a sad face in the dust with my finger. Parking was super confusing and so was the video you provided to try and figure it out. I wish you had directed or advised us towards a specific parking lot (or 2) or explained the 'parking zones' because I've never seen any street parking like this and since it's all in French and I am an anglophone... It was incredibly stressful and difficult making our arrival vibe pretty bad. Breakfast left a little something to be desired... A waffle maker would have made all the difference. The pineapple was bland and unpleasant and the orange juice was warm. Every banana was green, not yellow. It was hard to figure out where to eat on our first night as well, I liked that there was no fast food in the area, 'forcing us' into supporting the local community and seeing what it had to offer, but it was hard to find a place that offered what we were feeling... There was a lot of East Indian options showing on Google, but while my partner likes it, I am not a fan... We found an awesome spot, le Cariboue by just walking down the street. I absolutely loved the vibe, but they didn't offer entrees, just snacks. While they were awesome snacks, I really needed a salad or some sort of veggies in my diet that night.
Summary: Beautiful unique hotel in a picturesque part of the city - would definitely stay again!
