Positive: Beautiful terraces and pool area, comfortable bar and lounges, friendly receptionist.
Negative: Tired decor in the bedroom, faded carpet, bed not especially comfortable. Restaurant was closed for a wedding but we ate in nearby restaurant L’Escapade on the recommendation of the receptionist, which was great.

Positive: The pool area, gardens, restaurant terrace and lobby and lounge area are all absolutely beautiful and give you a fabulous impressions when you arrive, more like a four star hotel. The staff particularly the girl on reception on the Saturday were so helpful, writing me out notes of which buses etc to take for the journey I wanted to do. The food when it was available was very good although expensive. Very quiet area.
Negative: The restaurant was only fully open for one night of our three night stay and there are no local alternatives within walking distance that are open when the restaurant is closed. We ended up getting pizza from a pizza van on the Sunday night and on Monday there was only a set 3 course meal available with no flexibility on how many courses or choice of what to eat. Monday lunch also no restaurant so ended up walking to the little shop and buying a picnic which we ate in the room. Sunday and Monday seemed to be run on a skeleton of staff, empty glasses etc left by the pool for a full 24 hours causing a refusal to serve a pint of beer as all the pint glasses were dirty by the pool from the day before and the one member of staff on duty seemed not to be able to collect and clean them. Room was desperately in need of a new carpet and overall very shabby despite choosing a premium room. Bathroom straight out of the 70's with orange tiles and no shower screen or bracket to fix the shower up so you just had to sit in the bath and hold the shower head over yourself. I would say you really need a car to stay here.

Positive: I liked the good design and proper facilities everywhere, the place does not look tired. The terrace in our room was as big as the room😅 the staff was friendly. We also loved the cats that randomly sleep everywhere in the hotel!😻 the restaurant served not bad food for Xmas lunch and had a beautiful location. The best housekeeping I have seen in years, kudos!!
Negative: Breakfast could be more interesting. Pool is not heated. Could use more wardrobe in the room. No international tv channels.

Positive: Location of the hotel is beautiful. Well landscaped, beautiful restaurant terrace, great pool and common areas. Service was friendly and helpful.
Negative: Room design and decor require a major update for this price point. Our bathroom was extremely old and falling apart. Chipping on the walls and tiles. Old and small bathtubs that were hard to even stand in for a shower. Carpets need to be removed and updated. Maid service forgot different items each day, whether it be coffee pods, towels, wiping surfaces. Pool area could use a drink / food service.
Summary: Enjoyed our stay, but the rooms need updating.

Positive: All the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to be helpful. The swimming pool and gardens were a really brilliant bonus. The food was very good, breakfast was very good and dinner was too, although it would be good to have had a change in the menu if you’re there for more than two nights as we were.
Negative: There is nothing to dislike about this property. We should have booked a room with a balcony though
