Summary: Knowlton is a beautiful town, with lots of shops and restaurants to explore. The downfall is if you are staying Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday a lot of the shops are closed. Home of famous author Louise Penny was the reason we stayed here on our trip. She has opened a cafe and bookstore where you can buy Three Pines merchandise. After our departure we headed to Virgin Hill Coffee for delicious coffee and a breakfast croissant. It is about ten minutes away from the inn on Chem. Lakeside. Definitely worth a visit. The inn itself is quite historic, as were the beds and rooms…very small. However, there is a games/coffee room you can go to which is equipped with a kettle, coffee, tea, etc. There is also a large lovely common balcony you can take your own drinks to. We will definitely return to Knowlton!

Summary: Our room was well equipped and comfortable. The location was great and we really appreciated the facilities in the shared kitchen. A lovely town and area.

Summary: Great location in the heart of Lac Brome. The staff was exceptional. Because it is located in a historical building there is no elevator and the plumbing is a little wonky. Lots of hot water. Great restaurant and patio on the premises, but be patient if you go because they are understaff. Limited parking behind the building. .

Summary: This is a lovely auberge. Tastefully decorated with the charm of the era. Room was spacious and clean. Centrally located. The staff was very friendly and informative. The common area with coffee and tea was a really nice touch and the balcony was a pleasant surprise. We will be back.

Summary: The hotel has been in existence since 1849 and there is definitely a charm to it! I didn’t know there was no elevator when booking and my mum who is elderly had trouble to climb many stairs. The gentleman at reception (Gabriel) was so very helpful to us to and it was a relief to me and mum. We were there overnight but very happy to have been at the charming hotel. It is smack in the small town which was ideal.

Summary: Check in was easy. Staff helpful. This is an old building with stairs. No elevator. It was quiet. Adjacent restaurant was fine with reasonable prices. Room very clean. Comfy beds. Quiet A/C.
