Austracantha Cottage is set on 8.5 acres of natural bush-land, with spectacular views overlooking the township of Mansfield, the Paps, and a sneak peak of Mt Buller and Lake Eildon. Only a short 10-minute drive from Mansfield township, 20-minute drive to lake Eildon/Bonnie Doon or Howes Creek boat ramp, 20-minutes from Powers Lookout and 30-minute drive to Mount Buller gate entry.
The cedar cottage is tucked away towards the rear of property providing a very private and secluded place to unwind and relax. Wake up to find yourself immersed in wildlife including Kangaroos, Echidnas, Wallabies and a huge variety of native bird life. This is a perfect property for water and snow skiers, fishing, bush walkers or families wanting some time away to relax or enjoy the snow and water activities in the surrounding areas. You will have the entire property to yourself during your stay.
The cottage has been fully renovated inside and out, including a modern kitchen, bathroom, hide away laundry (no washing machine/dryer), freshly painted throughout and furnished with all the comforts of home.
Austracantha cottage can only accommodate up to 6 guests (including children) and is suitable for couples, small groups or families. There are 3 bedrooms, indoor and outdoor dining area that can seat up to 6 people and the lounge has 2 comfortable couches positioned in front of an enormous Coonara wood fire for those cold winter nights.
The interior of the property is very clean and extremely well presented throughout. You will not be disappointed.
Set on 8.5 acres there is plenty of room to roam and explore. Outside a new hardwood decking and railing wraps around the property, and there is a large under cover BBQ entertaining area. A seated fire pit area can be used on cooler nights to toast your marshmallows under the stars. Kids can be keep entertained outdoors with plenty of activities including our hopscotch and outdoor checker board.
4G Mobile phone reception can be received whilst on the property (no internet or Wi-Fi).

Cleared areas for kids to play cricket, soccer, football, totem tennis, hopscotch and checkers. Rear yard is fenced (not secured due to the local wombat constantly digging under it). There is plenty of parking on the property.
Pets are welcome (up to two, must be supervised at all times)
Austracantha Cottage is exclusively listed and can only be booked via the VRBO/ Stayz website.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
~No smoking permitted inside the cottage. ~ No fires permitted on fire ban days, no firearms, no hunting or camping. ~ No cutting own firewood, firewood will be provided for the duration of your stay. ~ No motor bike riding permitted on the property. ~ Due to the size of the cottage, no groups larger than 6 (including children) can be accepted. ~
