Looking for a Quaint, Quiet Getaway for two? ❤️ The “Stuga”is an authentic log cabin nestled on the South shore of Lake Superior - 3 miles west from the quaint town of Port Wing, Wisconsin. The Spectacular Views and beach access are unique to the area. The cabin is conveniently located as the halfway point between Superior,Wi. and Bayfield, Wi. The Stuga /Cottage is decorated in Swedish decor with appreciation for the simple but basic needs for a comfortable stay. The sleeping loft with loft steps provides you with a comfortable queen bed and awesome water views. The loveseat on the main floor-provides a twin pull-out for a third guest, if needed. The cabin is heated by a beautiful gas stove fireplace, along with an electric wall heater as needed.A flat screen TV with Dish is provided along with great WiFi access. You have access to a private fire pit with fire wood provided . The beautiful log swing is a perfect place to enjoy the amazing sunsets and nature. There is an information basket filled with brochures & suggestions for local attractions to see & do in the adjoining towns and area. Besides the Great Lake, there are numerous Waterfalls, hiking trails, & rivers for kayaking, fishing etc..
The town of Port Wing has “The Johnson Store” for all of your basic needs: groceries, gas, excellent fresh & smoked fish, etc.. There are two bar/ restaurants, a post office, Marina & beaches. The next two towns along the Scenic hwy heading towards Bayfield ,are Herbster ,& Cornecopica,both have restaurants , shops & beaches to explore. But if you’re looking to just relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Superior.. you needn’t go anywhere… you’ve arrived!

Summary: The cabin is the perfect size for 2. Very nice options to sit by the fire or swing together by the lake. Super clean, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything youd need. There are stunning views of the lake in the evening.You couldnt tell it was Memorial weekend at all. Low traffic, very quiet. Just close enough to tourist places. About 45 minutes to Bayfield area. We would highly recommend this place!

Summary: This is a very nice property. Clean, quiet and comfortable, with all the necessities we wanted in a vacation rental. Great view of Lake Superior. The weather prevented us from using the outdoor fire pit, which was disappointing. We were able to use our Netflix account on the TV. The loft bedroom had a wonderful view of the lake but is not for everyone - we could not take our bags up the stairs, which are steep and narrow. It can be tough if you have to use the bathroom during the night. We didn't mind the lack of a dishwasher, as we don't have one at home, but some would feel otherwise. It was windy and rainy during our stay. A significant amount of water came in through the baseboards at the lake end of the cabin.

Summary: Our stay could not have been better. The cabin is lovely and well appointed. We cook daily and had all we need. The outside area is beautiful with incredible views and sunsets, great porch and fire pit and beach access. Highly recommend this spot.

Summary: This was hands down one of our favorite spots. The location was just close enough for basic needs, yet secluded enough for a few days of absolute peace! All of our needs were met and more. The pictures truly don’t do this place justice for how perfect it was!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay. It was very hard to leave. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Perfect morning coffee spot to listen to the waves. The steps to the beach are definitely rustic, and it was hard on my old knees (very steep), but worth it to sit on the beach. My kiddo would have sat there all day. One thing to note, is the twin mattress are more like cushions than mattresses, but we made it work, and the water heater was a bit small, so when I did dishes and we all tried to shower we did run out of hot water, but not a deal breaker and we will just plan better next time. Overall, the perfect landing spot for a North Shore adventure near Wisconsin, Bayfield & Amnicon Falls and Superior.

Summary: Beautiful natural landscaping and overall layout. We loved and used all the outdoor seating areas. Several experiences with the neighborhood eagle! Beach was slightly disappointing due to recent storm debris and seating arrangement in living room would be enhanced with a couch. Great weekend!

Summary: Loved our stay! Comfy bed, great view, great view of the lake and stars at night. All the sitting spots outside were great to! Clean! Fire pit was was also nice to have. We definitely would love to book another visit in the future.
