Positive: The location was not too far from airport (about 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic). The hotel itself was small about 5 rooms and was clean. The staff were very good and very friendly. The manager (and indeed all the other staff) did everything they could to make us comfortable and happy. Avamada Lodge will be forever etched in our memory because this was our HONEYMOON. My wife and I love the quietness of the place. And its very picturesque. The centrepiece of the dvelopment was the swimming pool with trees and greenery all around. I loved it and swam every morning around 6am and a young man cleaned the pool everyday. Meals were good value for money, and they do a really tasty chicken curry and rice. :-). The hotel manager also collected from and delivered us back to airport at the end of our visit. Would I recommend Avamada Lodge? If you want nice relaxing holiday in quiet, comfortable budget hotel in 99.9999999999% safe environment for your family, friends, or other half, then you will not regret your stay here. So yes, 100% I recommend it. Oops, I almost forgot, the wifi was very strong too (but see electricty comments below), and the full protection mosquitoe net and air-conditioning were lifesavers.
Negative: There are few negatives that we learned to live with that could influence your decision whether to stay at Avamada or not: 1a. ELECTRICITY: Frequent electicity outages. This is NOTHING do with Avamada Lodge but the powers that be who are responsible for electricity in the whole area. One a good the power might go off for just an hour or two - once or twice for the day. On a bad day we were without electriciy 4 times and once stess lasted for around 4 hours. 1b. No internet and not lights - you can expect this everyday at some point. 2. MINI FRIDGE (I speak for the fridge in my room only): This was a complete joke! It was so small you could barely get one can of beer in it. Even then that would be total waste of time because the fridge was total useless. I left a can of beer in it for the whole day then I went to get it 9 hours later: it was like I just took it out an oven (ok slight exaggeration but you get my point). I believe the owners of Avamada should address this problem by putting PROPER size mini fridges in all their rooms OR remove mini fridge from the descriptions on the website (it is grossly misleading). Indeed, we left a tiny amount of half-eaten food in it overnight and by morning it was infested with ants! 3a. BATHROOM: Look the bathroom is clean and has a separate shower area so no complaints about that. But when showering the water splashes out the shower area onto the floor resulting in half bathroom floor wet. We had no choice but to put the dirty towels to soak the water but that wasn't enough so had call staff to come and mop up properly. The hotel owners need to address this. One 'cheap' solution might be to put shower curtains to reduce the splash 3b. BATHROOM: Management URGENTLY needs to install some shelving of cupboard 'surface' space in the bathroom. Why? Because the only place we had to put our toothbrush, tooth space and so on was on the tiny space on the bathroom sink.

Positive: I missed my flight and the property was very quick to respond to my last minute request. Really appreciated the airport pick up and drop off as well! Very cosy, comfortable stay and in a very quiet area. The property feels secluded and very green! I didn't get to stay long but if I were to visit again and needed a place near the airport, this was great value and really friendly helpful service.
