Summary: Talkeetna is a great town in an ideal location as base camp to explore Alaska. There are plenty of things to do in the area as well. This property is relatively new and suited our family of 5 well. We also enjoyed the fire pit one evening after our excursions. Thankfully we didn’t spend much time indoors but if we had to, we would have been right at home here.

Summary: Very clean and comfortable stay. It was tight with five people and luggage but we knew that going in and it was fine for a one-night stay. One pull-out couch was ok, the other quite uncomfortable. For those looking for a longer stay, the cabin would be perfect for a couple or small family. Dowtown Talkeetna was less than a 5 minute drive but also walkable. The immediate neighborhood had some run-down properties but didn’t feel unsafe. Communication with the hosts was very good.

Summary: This cabin is beautiful, clean and more spacious than a hotel suite. The location is perfect for a fly-over and glacier landing tour. And for a quiet evening after a long day of adventures. It’s a very short drive to ‘downtown’ Talkeetna (very walkable if you like to walk). The hosts sent GREAT recommendations ahead of our stay, including a detour which proved to be a magnificent addition to our trip.
