Summary: We had a great stay at the Awakino River Lodge. Definitely a home away from home. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would recommend staying here

Summary: We had a great time at Garry's place at Awakino -- the garden is beautiful, and with 6 couches, there was on for each guest to lie on! Also handily fully-fenced (we have a dog). The only downside was that the lodge is a bit of a magnet for passers-by, and we had to attend to questions from various folk knocking on the door. Otherwise, a lovely place to stay.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely property that just oozes "come relax and enjoy", and we did!! this is a lovey house, beautiful garden and we really enjoyed relaxing in the spa and playing in the kitchen! get location we spent the days exploring and coming back to eat and relax!! the weather was awesome too, but had it rained we would've happily just stayed inside and enjoy everything this house has to offer.

Summary: This was a fantastic property and we loved staying there! It had so much character with splashes of French style and old world charm! A great location for a large family group! Beautiful bathrooms and comfy beds, cosy log fire as well as a great social out door space! The lodge has river views and is close to the rugged but beautiful beach! Very small village, and the pub was very friendly and welcoming! The best steaks I have had for a long time! No supermarket, go prepared with supplies!!
