Once described by a guest to be an "eccentric and funky" place is more aptly described as an imaginatively fun and artsy "beach house" with tastefully selected art, sculptures and figures. On a Private Beach makes for a fun family vacation located in the quaint Town of Melbourne Beach, Florida. It is paradise ripe fun filled get-a-away for a relaxing quiet stay or, one packed with surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, surf fishing, swimming, snorkeling. kite flying, kite surfing, wind surfing, and tubing for the ocean frolics to be combined with all the beach-sun fun. From the top deck one can Catch and capture the Cape Canaveral rocket launches. These rocket launches are readily seen from the patio deck with or without the telescope. The "beach house" is convenient to plenty of golf, boating, bicycling, jogging, restaurants, major shopping including that of down-town Melbourne. It has 3 bedrooms with king-size beds and 3 1/2 baths with elevator for handicap guests and an outdoor shower for rinsing from the day at the beach. Period buildings include the Rossetter House Museum & Gardens, restored to its 1908 appearance. Across the lagoon, there are parks set-up for bird watching, a turtle museum, including the Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach faces the Atlantic Ocean. North, Brevard Zoo features a kayak tour through an African habitat. Summary: We enjoyed a quiet stay. Most of the time there was hardly anyone else on the beach! The owner supplied many basic items to use freely if you need them. Even coffee, paper towels, napkins, plenty of T. Paper, Kleenex, and many necessities. Towels were plentiful, and a washer and dryer were also available.

Summary: This was a family vacation and we were looking for a great location, easy beach access, and a comfortable place to relax. This home hit all the marks for us. Check in was super easy! Pets were welcomed. Right on the beach & deck was perfect for the beautiful ocean view. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and a great host. Would love to visit again! Summary: This house is in the perfect location! We stayed for a week and got to see mama turtles lay their eggs every night we were there. One night a rocket launched from Kennedy and we could see it from the beach. On the beach it is very private and truly perfect seeing dolphins and sand crabs. The views from the house are incredible. We loved waking up to the ocean everyday.

Summary: Perfect quiet residential vacation home. Loved everything about it. It was almost like having our own private beach. Ken was a great host! Will likely be back in the future. The deck is a perfect place to enjoy dinner and enjoy the waves. Perfect spot for sea turtle watching also. Got to see a few coming up to nest.

Summary: We spent a week at this wonderful beach house. It had everything one could ask for and more. The owner was very accommodating and responsive. The best part was the awesome view. We stayed at several beach houses in the past and I have to say this was probably the best view we've had. The beach was private, clean and just steps away from the house. We enjoyed the sunsets and sunrise - watching dolphins swimming by and turtles waiting to come ashore to lay their eggs. Our chocolate lab had the best time swimming in the ocean, and running along the shore - some great memories for sure. Truly an amazing experience!

Summary: The home was exactly what we thought it would be. No surprises. However, the view, location, serenity and sounds were even better than we had hoped! The property itself is exceptionally clean, but a bit worn so don't expect luxury. However, it has everything you need to have a great time. Comfortable beds, lots of towels, nice kitchen and a comfortable living area. And the access to the beach can’t be beat. The upper deck is wonderful and has lots of space to spread out and relax. The owner Ken is a great guy and a pleasure to rent from. You won’t find a better house to rent when you combine price and location. Our dog loved roaming the beach as well as the fenced in yard. We would definitely rent here again!
