Peace of Cape is one of those places that just makes you feel like you have come to your own personal beach getaway! The townhouse is spacious and comfortable, and is exactly what the name implies - peaceful! This great townhome has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people, with 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and a pullout sofa bed. This unit is a great size for a couple's getaway, a family vacation, or for snowbirds wanting to escape the winter cold.
When you come into Peace of Cape, the first level is a completely open concept living/dining/kitchen area. It offers a great place to "chill out" after a fun-filled day at the beach or one of the community pools or some other fun adventure. You can share a meal at our spacious brand new dining table that can accommodate the whole family. And afterward, maybe you can "unplug" and play games, cards, or work puzzles together. You can relax in the family room where there is a large flat screen TV and blue-ray DVD player with Netflix (you will need your own account), which is perfect for a family movie night. The kitchen, or "Galley" as we like to call it, has all brand new stainless steel appliances and is stocked with all the supplies you'll need. There is also a half bath on the first level for your convenience.
The family room opens onto a wonderful and spacious deck surrounded by palm trees. It feels open, yet private all at the same time. The deck looks out over the central green space, and has a view of the Gulf. There are bar-height poly wood tables that seat six, and a gas grill is provided for cooking out. The deck leads down to the boardwalk that takes you out through the gazebo and onto the sugary white sand. You really are only 1 minute to the beach!
The second level has two ensuite bedrooms with plenty of privacy. Known as the Captain's Quarters and First Mate accommodations, each room has plenty of space to unpack and settle in. There are TVs in both bedrooms, as well as private balconies. The Captain's deck is spacious and seating is provided to enjoy gulf breezes and a great vantage point for beautiful sunsets and spectacular starry nights. While the First Mate's balcony enjoys the morning sun, with a lovely view that looks across to the club house, the gorgeous dunes, and a view of the Gulf.
Peace of Cape has a beach closet filled with all the accessories you will need to relax and enjoy the beach - including 4 beach chairs, beach toys, and a beach cart to help you easily get everything to the beach or pool. Then there is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot & cold water, which is perfectly situated as you come off the boardwalk to rinse off the sand when you get back from the beach.
Barrier Dunes is a great community for people of all ages. There are two tennis/pickleball courts, two swimming pools, ponds where kids can feed the resident turtles, a neighborhood playground, and safe streets for walking your dog or riding bikes. One swimming pool is centrally located in the complex and the other pool is gulf front with covered picnic tables and a gazebo overlooking the sugar white sand and beautiful Gulf of Mexico. One of the prime benefits of Peace of Cape is the amazing location! From this great townhouse, you are only steps to any of the great amenities. Then just outside Barrier Dunes, there is a 9 mile bike path that takes you along 30E from the State Park to the entrance of Cape San Blas

Summary: Peace of Cape was perfect for my family’s long weekend break in October. We love the beach in October and this was our first time at the Cape. The town home was clean and well furnished. Plenty of space for my family of four and our dog. I appreciate the fold out bed as our kids refused to share the queen bed. The location to the beach was great. Loved all the space to store our beach gear, kids’ bikes and SUP. I love it when we do not have to pack our beach cart and chairs from home- so thank you for providing those. The master bed was comfortable; there was plenty of space to hang clothes or out in drawers. It was cool enough in the mornings to open the screen door. There were a lot of bugs outside- so use the screens! The bathrooms are small, however I used the dresser in the bedroom to lay out my toiletries which worked really well. It’s nice to have a half bath in the living room floor. The kitchen had all of the things we needed for our short stay. A little worn out but it’s a rental, so we know things will not be brand new. The complex itself was clean. Roads and parking are narrow. Kids hopped in the main pool and played on the playground. Beach access is easy. The booking and check in process was very easy. There was plenty of communication and the check in email was thorough. I do wish the check out info was in the email. We had a couple of small issues and the management was responsive. Nothing that affected our overall stay. We will stay here again.

Summary: This place was awesome to stay at. As a family of 5 with small kids this place was perfect and also had a high chair. It's so close to the beach you can set up your stuff in the morning and don't have to worry about anything. Also for the Dad's/Mom's who carry the whole house to the beach this walk was maybe 100 yards and I didn't need to bring a wagon for everything. I just made a couple trips. The pool is directly across from the condo which is very convenient . One thing to note about this pool there's not a ton of shade so be prepared with sun screen. The beach gear locker was stocked appropriately, the only thing we brought was a pop up tent for more shade on the beach. There's plenty of sand castle toys and a couple of body boards. We had a great time and will be back for years to come.

Summary: This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and we hope to return. It’s so beautiful and quiet without all the traffic and noise. Peace of Cape was awesome and the easiest walk to the beach ever. Everything we needed was available. The owners were so easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions I had. The email with all the information we needed prior to arrival was very helpful. We would love to stay at Peace of Cape again!
