Positive: Spectacular and well-kept location.
Negative: The place is under new management and has lost its personal touch. The manager is also responsible for another property more than 40 minutes away and tries to limit their time at the Castello as much as possible. Every day there was an issue: we were pressed to arrive early (so the manager could leave), were lectured for having entered the kitchen (for which we had been given a key) and stored some errands in the fridge, and then our confirmed check-out time, was moved from 11 to 10 a.m. (we protested and were allowed to stay until 10:30 a.m.) When the manager was there, she sure tried to be helpful and forthcoming, but the time pressure clearly had the upper hand. At the end of the day, we didn't feel really welcome.
Summary: Great property which has lost its personal touch under its new management.

Positive: Great location, not far from Bologna. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery. You actually live in an old castle. Due to the fact that it is really an old building bath room is not so big, but completely usable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you Halyna and Luca!

Positive: Surreal landacapes and the castle is absolutely gorgeous, the hosts are very kind, receptive and attentive, simply can't find a thing to complain about.

Positive: Luciano and Elena were perfect hosts. They toured us around the outside and inside of the castle, pointing out artifacts, paintings and the history surrounding the castle. It was fascinating. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. We can’t wait to return!

Positive: The Castell is beautiful, with wonderful surrounded nature. It is perfectly clean and luxurious, but the best thing in the castle are the hosts. We are traveling extremely often but such a nice and kind hosts never we had met. The breakfast that they served to us was magnificent! We really enjoyed talking with them and enjoyed every second spend in the castle. And yes, when ever we will come close by, we are even not thinking to sleep on other place. Highly recommend to everyone to spend at least one night there and to feel that atmosphere! Once again thank you Elena and Marcello ( sorry if I didn't not spell correctly)!!!
