Positive: Such a beautiful, rustic chalet-type hotel but with modern facilities! Very friendly owners and staff, they made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was spacious, clean and had lovely views of the mountains. There was a lovely salon where we could order drinks after a day of skiing or hiking. Location was perfect - right next to the ski lifts. Breakfast was a good buffet - simple but it had everything we needed, and more! And very good wifi - wish mine at home was as good!!
Negative: The owners plan to retire this year so I hope that whoever takes over keeps this charming hotel up to its standards and quality! It is a B&B so sadly, there was no restaurant but there is one about 50m away. Les Marécottes is perfect if your intention is to ski, hike or enjoy nature. There is only 1 main restaurant, we did find a bar& restaurant in the village which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel, but they were closed. Did not find shops or other cafés or even a bakery. Option is to drive to Salvan which is not ideal (at least for us) after a day of skiing and an after-ski drink as this is a mountain road. Maybe it is more lively in the summer?

Positive: Excellent location right by the ski lifts. Very kind and attentive staff. Good wifi and free parking. Breakfast was simple, but the staff very attentive.
Negative: The property is a bit old and is in need of some renovation. My bed was very uncomfortable; one of those spring mattresses which had lost all the padding. You can imagine.
Summary: Ok for a short ski trip but in need of renovation.
