Positive: Location. Location. Location. Right near the sea and all the restaurants and bars, but set in the back so it was very quiet. The terrace was beautiful with a view of Sicily.

Positive: - Walking distance to beach, restaurants and bars - Powerful air conditioning which became handy during the warmer days. Even when it’s turned off and you’re out for the day, you can still come back to a cooled down room - Delicious breakfast - Staff were attentive and quick to respond to any queries

Negative: - Not close to the only ATM in Scilla (out of their control), which is up hill on the other side of town. Bring quite a bit of cash to spend at the local bars and restaurants as they only take cash and not card
