Positive: Truly lovely host family and building, with an exceptional room full of history, furnishings and facilities. Old world feel of creaky wooden stairs and floorboards work well when there is a very comfortable bed and modern walk in shower, stone sink etc. The attention to detail in the room and in the quality of the breakfast make this a brilliant place to stay. A short walk to a choice of bars and restaurants and some of the sights. Stayed here overnight to catch the Eurotunnel train back to UK and will definitely look to stay here again in future.

Negative: Nothing. It would be lovely to have secure parking nearby, but this was free on the street outside the Loge (6pm to 9am).

Summary: Amazing hostess and accommodation. Stunning room with view of the Grand Theatre.

Positive: The owners were very nice and very helpful, they kept in touch and gave us very useful info about the place and the town before check in. We loved the breakfast, the familial atmosphere of the place, and how well-kept it is, despite being an historical building. We also loved the history behind every room connected to the history of Calais. Our dog was very welcome to stay with us even in the breakfast room, which is something that cannot be taken from granted and we really appreciated. Perfect for a one night stay!
