Positive: An absolute oasis of tranquility - staffed by the most lovely friendly people who made us feel so welcome and looked after our every need. Beautiful well kept grounds that were so peaceful after the chaos of Bangkok. Great for accessing Ayutthaya. A lovely pool to cool off in. Great air conditioning and tasty home- cooked food. Positive: A really beautiful place with an amazing staff ! The free bikes are a must have to visit the historical area.
Negative: The mattress is rock solid 😅 Location is nice but the only way at night (when the boat ferry is closed) is by car or tuk tuk.

Positive: A beautiful traditional thai-style hotel offering individual villas, all with direct access to the lovely gardens. The furnishings are simple, but very clean and well maintained. Beds are comfy. The staff are extremely welcoming, discreet and efficient. The hotel is a short drive outside the centre of Ayutthaya, so it's very quiet and peaceful. The centre is just a short drive by tuk tuk or taxi. The breakfast is simple but very adequate and served in the restaurant area which is also open onto the gardens and small lake. There is a lovely pool area, which is clean and very well maintained. There is also the option to have massages on-site in the air-conditioned spa area - a real treat after a long day discovering the many temples of Ayutthaya.

Positive: Tranquility Base A superb place to stay and explore Ayutthaya. English speaking staff are very friendly, efficient, helpful and an excellent source of local sight-seeing knowledge. Villas are well decorated and very clean (and spruced up daily). The Baan Thai villas are arranged around an ornamental pool in a very well tended garden full of Frangipani trees. The on-site restaurant serves a satisfying breakfast and dining through the day offers a selection of excellent and reasonably priced Thai and European food. The hotel has excellent arrangements with local Tuk-Tuk services to offer hotel to town transport at fixed fares and the hotel organised (fixed price) evening boat and temple tour ending at the riverside night market is recommended. On-site wifi adds the final touch for those who just can’t let go. It’s a very pretty, very quiet and very tranquil place to stay.

Positive: Baan Thai House is such a unique stay! The property is beautiful, and you can kill time just walking around it and taking in the scenery. The staff were so lovely and helpful to us about booking a ride to the airport, calling for a tuktuk, and what’s worth it in Ayutthaya to see. The lunch we had there was also quite good! I would’ve loved to have stayed longer!
Negative: The breakfast selection isn’t huge and the property is slightly out of the way from the main town.
