Positive: These townhomes are perfect for the seafood festival. You can walk to the bus, and it is easy to walk to multiple places. The Elk every morning was wonderful to wake up to, and if you want to fish, you are right at the dock.

Positive: Great location, good information prior to arrival, clean and nicely furnished, great welcome information onsite, easily check in and check out, super parking arrangements. Now that we understand how the heating system works, we would return See below for details
Negative: 1) Heating system - It was set to cooling and there are no instructions on how to change to heat mode, even using the user guide found in a drawer. The host was responsive, but did not offer the correct information to make this switch. With YouTube, I was able to sort out what was needed the 2nd day. (Thanks goodness for the bedroom with the wall units or it would have been a very cold night. The house was 64 F and blowing cold air and we seriously considered having to depart.) For the record, the upstairs AND downstairs units must be in the SAME mode or else you get a CH07 error message. Recommendation: The host should visit the site the day before arrival, turn on the units and set them for the correct mode. Do not leave this for guests to figure out. 2) The tea kettle should be replaced. The handle has a design flaw that causes one to burn one's hand. Everyone who used the kettle had this experience.

Positive: A great area, a beautiful little beach in walking distance, a fun pub/restaurant (Buoy 9) nearby.
Negative: We couldn't get the heat going consistently, it was freezing at first and the heat wouldn't come on. One of my daughters went online and got it going for awhile but it would start and stop inconsistently despite our efforts. We couldn't get into the garage from the outside and the managers acknowledged that this was a problem. I tried asking Evolve for a small refund for our troubles but they refused. I did contact the managers at a couple of points but thought that we had resolved the heating issue, then felt like it wasn't worth the hassle to try to fix the heat. Evolve said that the people before and after us had no problem but I'm thinking that the people before did something with the controls and that someone fixed the problem after we left. Not worth $400/night to mess with this and be uncomfortable.
Summary: Wonderful area, nice for a quiet getaway!
