Positive: Bettex is a very nice, quiet area made (in my opinion) for families that are able/want to cook their own meals or be willing to make the 10 minute drive to Les Mesnuires which offers some selection of restaurants and pubs/brasseries. We stayed 300/400 meters from the chairlift (Le Bettex) which after a short ride + ski, gives you access to the Les Mesnuires lifts that can eventually bring you all over the 3 Valleys.
Negative: There is no "village" in this area; you do not wander around and view restaurants and bars, pubs and people generally do not wander about after skiing. We knew this about the area so that is not a fault but others should know this before booking and thinking you are going to be in a lively village! Again, excellent quite area - perfect for families or adult couples wanting to dine in or with access to a car. Lastly: the cost of renting during school winter season is staggering! We do it because we enjoy Trois Vallees and it is the only ski trip we do all year but I could spend the same at a 4 star in London!
Summary: Lovely quiet Bettex Apartment with plenty of room for 2 young families (of 4)!

Negative: Only accessible by car. Some basic things missing - no tea towel, no cleaning items other than brush/broom, no rubbish bags.

Positive: lovely apartment in the quiet village of Bettex, the hosts Carmen and Eduardo were really friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome.
Negative: some may say there’s little to do in Bettex as there are no bars or shops but for us this adds to the charm of the location.
