Summary: This rental was everything that it listed! Only a few things to note: Internet was not great in the room separate from the other two, it also smelled a bit like mildew; they are not lying about the gecko that wakes you up in the morning, but nothing crazy and pretty cute. Overall, a beautiful and affordable rental that came with everything! If you needed Ketut to cook up meals you were able to in advance and if you contact the rental manager for in home massages, the massage therapist set up their tables right in the patio overlooking the pool. It was really beautiful! You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. The home is not near the Ubud center but about 10-11 miles and if you have a driver it is no big deal. We definitely recommend this lovely home and would come back again in the future!

Summary: Our stay at villa hutan Sawah was amazing👌 we really enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were astounded by the luxury and beauty of the home. The view and the pool was breathtaking and the home was incredibly comfortable. We spent the evening looking at the stars and went for a night swim... Service was excellent. We hired Dewa, the driver to pick us up in Sanur at our previous home stay and he was early, and very professional and informative. His English was pretty strong as well. We had ordered meals to be prepared by Dewa and his wife and he was nice enough to tell us that we ordered too much... And helped us pick an appropriate amount. He lives nearby In a tradional house on the property but there was still plenty of privacy. the food that his wife and he prepared was delicious too, very authentic! Dewa even cut me down a coconut from the tree and cut it open for a special treat... truly paradise.we also ordered a massage and she came to the house and we did the massage outside overlooking the gorgeous lush greenery, very nice. Note: if you are looking for restaurants or bars, this is not where you want to be, as it is a bit quiet in this area! No tourists really, just peacefulness, in a village surrounded by ricefields, farmland and true beauty. We wished we had stayed longer.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay in villa Hutan Sawah. The villa was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Our party consisted of 4 adults and two children (aged 5 and 3), and we really loved the spacious garden and the nice pool. Dewa took very good care of us and drove us everywhere we wanted. The massages are a must-do. A highly recommended villa in beautiful, quiet surroundings.

Summary: The staff were so lovely and very helpful and were always available to help. The property was extremely clean and very well maintained and the pool was divine. It is quite a remote location out of Ubud, however Dewa cooks such amazing meals you don't need to go anywhere. Massages and Pedicures were wonderful and relaxing, even our 3 year old son wanted a massage and slept the best that night he has ever slept. Owners also extremely helpful and kind. If you need a break from the world then Villa Hutan_Sawah is for you.

Summary: The villa is very luxury and well maintained, the garden is nicely groomed. The staff was always ready to help during my stay. The villa is remote and far away from any other tourists, which I like. This does however also mean you have to drive a short time to get to cities or activities on the island.

Summary: A beautiful villa in the hearth of Bali. During our stay staff always went above and beyond to fulfill our needs. We loved the clean look of the villa and the perfectly sculpted garden. If it's ever possible we will pick this villa again for a stay in Bali.

Summary: Myself and extended family of 8 (5 adults, 3 infants) stayed at Villa Hutun Sawah for 8 days and can honestly say the villa presents even better than the photos suggests......from my experience it's usually the other way round. Of course we were very happy!! Nestled in a somewhat rural area approximately 30 minutes drive from Ubud you are far enough away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to venture in daily to experience the cultural centre of Bali. The furnishings and style of the villa are excellent, it has a very homely feel and is well equipped with everything you need if you seek a villa that is self catered. The manager of the property who lives next door Dewa was very helpful and a great source of information, in the end he became our daily driver who we relied on to transport us. No request was too much for him. The villa is cleaned daily to a good standard by Ketut and everything works as it should. The villa has a wonderful pool area at the base of the tiered garden, a place we spent many hours at. The owners Virginie and Olivier were very receptive to our needs throughout the planning of our holiday and were always quick to reply to our questions on email. If I can pick something that was not as I'd expect it was the water pressure in the shower. I'm not sure why but the showers even though warm the pressure was very inconsistent and at some points the water would cease temporarily. On balance however myself and family felt comfortable, safe and really enjoyed our stay at Villa Hutun Sawah. I definitely recommend this villa if you are looking for a rural retreat.
