Positive: The location was superb. Set in Idyllic countryside with no extraneous noises. Fabulous views of the stars at night and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Very handy for Montrose or Arbroath. The rooms were extremely comfortable. A lovely nights sleep. A very useful kitchen area in a separate room to make coffee. The bathroom was a delight, gorgeous roll top bath to luxuriate in whilst looking at the gorgeous garden

Positive: Absolutely everything. Jules was incredible, the perfect host who made every aspect of my stay amazing. She was friendly, thoughtful and great fun to chat to. The cottage was divine and beautifully furnished with lots of delightful art and ornaments. Sun lit airy rooms with beautiful views over the fields. Fabulous bathroom with wonderful toiletries. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out in the morning. Great hot beverage supplies and lovely shortbread was a treat. Great to have access to a fridge and microwave for simple meal preparation. Highly recommend the Upper Dysart Farm Shop. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful and a short distance to stunning Lunan Bay and Arbroath. Jules provided lots of information on places to go and things to do which were highlights of my visit. Lots of amazing walks in all directions. I will definitely be coming back to do some more exploring and enjoy more of Jules’ fabulous hospitality.

Positive: The lodge was really beautiful and thoughtfully decorated with quirky details that give it personality. It was lovely and quiet and the bed was super comfortable! The location, near Lunan Bay beach, was absolutely gorgeous. Jules was an extremely friendly, helpful and informative host. Thank you Jules for everything!

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at Balnabrechan Lodge. Jules was a brilliant host — warm, welcoming, and full of helpful local advice sent via WhatsApp. She even left milk and a bowl of fresh strawberries in the fridge for us on arrival, which was such a lovely touch. The lodge is spacious & peaceful We also loved seeing the beautiful horses in the nearby field, which made the setting even more special. What we loved: – Amazing, thoughtful host – Peaceful countryside setting – Lovely horses nearby – Spacious and relaxing lodge – Personal touches like fresh milk and strawberries Would definitely recommend and would love to return!

Positive: Jules made us very welcome and gave us lots of information on the best places to eat and visit. Very comfortable bed, well furnished. This is a little mini lodge which is in an extention of the main building.. Wonderfully rustic log cabin. Loved the claw footed bath tub, bathroom is pure luxury. The small kitchenette had everything necessary provided including posh filter coffee. Peaceful surroundings. Within walking distance of Lunan beach. Lots of interesting places around to visit too.
