Bamboo House is a fully renovated mid century cottage in the heart of the village. It is set within a completely enclosed private tropical oasis comprising a main house with 2 bedrooms and a separate shared bathroom, and two separate guest cottages each with en suite bathrooms. Each of the four bedrooms are outfitted with queen beds, ample storage / closet space and double glazed sound proof sash windows with solar shades. Each of the bathrooms are bright and modern, and outfitted with Kohler fixtures. The kitchen is fully equipped with white quartz countertops, Kohler fixtures and Bosch appliances - plus various coffee making options including a Nespresso machine. This quaint village home has been tastefully decorated in a perfect blend of contemporary modern style and timeless island charm. Lush outdoor tropical gardens surround the cottages and include an outdoor shower and many opportunities for relaxing and al fresco dining. Bamboo House is located on the busy end of Dunmore Street close to the intersection with Clarence Street - which is home to the famous license plate wall. Bamboo House is also equipped with a 24 hour standby generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply during your vacation. In March 2025 another 120 gallon hot water tank was added to ensure ample hot water supply for all guests.
In off peak season, Bamboo House can be rented as just the main house (2 bedrooms and one separate shared bathroom), or the main house plus one guest cottage (total 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) or the main house plus two guest cottages (4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms). In peak season, the entire property (main house and both guest cottages = 4 bedrooms) must be rented. Please note below rates and do not hesitate to further inquire:

Summary: The property is very nice. Street is heavily trafficked. There were some issues with the property. Could not figure out to lock any of the doors other than the door to the street. The showers did not have blinds and the main bathroom door had no lock. The bedrooms also did not have black out blindsNo microwave and the exterior lights were difficult to turn off, especially the one by the laundry the stay however was pleasant enough.

Summary: Bamboo House was a great location for our first trip to Harbour Island. There is a bank, drug store and liquor store directly across the street. We used a golf cart for transportation but also walked to dinner and to the beach as everything was really close by. The house and guest houses are darling and very comfortable for our group of 7. The kitchen was well stocked and they provide drinking water as you cannot drink the water from the tap. There are fresh towels dailyfor the bathrooms and the beach. We loved having a cooler available to pack for the beach and we rented chairs and boogie boards from Ms. V’s, daily. It was all so convenient and the Pink Sand Beach was more incredible in person! Olga and Dolce do a wonderful job taking care of the house. Our checkout was at 11 and they showed up to clean for the next group at 9, which was very awkward as we were all trying to shower and get ready but you could tell they didn’t have an option. Be prepared that there is very little hot water. We all set timers for 3 min showers so that if there was hot water it wasn’t used by just one person. Even with that, out of the 6 nights we were there, there was enough hot water for 2 people to get a hot 3 min shower so we just rotated who got to shower first. If you know this going in, then you can be prepared as our youngest was 12 so she could handle a cold shower. We loved having a washer and dryer. Overall our stay at Bamboo House was incredible and we would rent here again.

Summary: Incredibly clean and well maintained, including updated kitchen and bathrooms. Bright happy decor and very comfortable beds! Separate cottages layout make this ideal to share with multiple generational family. We will definitely stay at Bamboo house again!

Summary: This was the perfect spot!! Highly recommend! Noise was not an issue at all, our 6 month old was able to nap and sleep through the night (even with Junkanoo practice passing by outside). Everything was perfect!!!
