Positive: Great value for money. The owner, the location, people and overall vibe is exceptional. You should definitely visit this place if you are on the budget, but seek authentic experience in Jakarta.
Negative: The showering experience is a bit "traditional". You will know when you see it. But no major complains for the price.

Positive: It is a calm, safe and traditional house with a lot of green and common areas, very nice people that are also artists, and a sense of community and wellbeing that made me feel comfortable and happy. The people was definitely the best part. It is very well connected to public transport, in a nice part of the city that is also very central, so I highly recommend if you want to dive in Indonesia’s hospitality.
Negative: I liked everything.
Summary: The best stepping stone in Jakarta, a beautiful tradicional guest house.

Positive: The host was very welcoming and lovely! The bed was really comfortable, basic room but just what we needed. We definitely would come back and stay in this place again
Negative: No proper shower and the location was a little far from the main area but easy to book taxi from Grab or Gojek. The curtains in room can see through if people sit outside in the baloney so we were being cautious when we get change and get ready but overall, no issues!

Positive: I had an excellent time during my stay in hostel. It's a traditional family house where authentic way of Indonesian living can be experienced. Hostel owner Ardiles was really helpful and friendly. It was absolutely my pleasure to listen to his sharing on his legendary career as a photojournalist and his insights on the socio-politics of Indonesia. I was so privileged to enjoy home-cooked meals prepared by him during my last day, which were absolutely delicious. In addition, the hostel is also conveniently located with only 10-minute walk to train station.

Positive: Ardiles is a great host. Even before my stay, he already help me to book some boat ticket. It's very nice to stay in his family house He know a lot about his country and many things he can recommend and share with you when he is free. If you like coffee you are lucky, he got good quality one, that he freshly grind. I stayed in the fan room that is simple but comfortable enough. If you want to have a home feeling in Jakarta, definitely a place to stay !
Negative: Is it not in the center so it could take a bit time to reach there between 30mins to one hours. The metro is just 5mins by walk from the guesthouse so it's convenient and very cheap.
Summary: If you want to experience the real life in Jakarta and have a nice host definitely a place to stay
