Positive: The welcome pack was really appreciated. Barley Cottage is very clean, comfortable and has a really fun bbq hut.
Negative: As to be expected in the countryside animals woke us up at 5am but we managed to get back to sleep - if a light sleeper bring ear plugs!
Summary: Very well equipped comfortable and spacious home near lots of beautiful places.

Positive: Gorgeous, cosy property with a lovely garden and amazing BBQ hut. Kitchen was one of the best stocked self catering accommodations that I’ve been to. Beds were really comfy. Great communal space for a group stay and wonderful location for exploring!
Negative: It was quite noisy - thin walls and a noisy next door neighbour. The stairs were extraordinarily creaky and loud. Generally the property was really clean, so I know it wasn’t for lack of trying, but unfortunately the vacuum was a bit worn out and so there were animal hairs left from a previous guest which was not ideal with a little one crawling around. Also to note - not the owners fault at all - but just to share the feedback that I was absolutely spammed with auto emails from Sykes cottages management company before our stay, but they didn’t respond to my two emails or call me back when I had a genuine enquiry about our stay which was disappointing.
Summary: A wonderful stay with a few minor tweaks would be 10/10!

Positive: Everything! Beautiful cottage, great location with close proximity to stunning beaches with lots of fossils. - Clean! - Elegantly furnished - Big bathrooms with very good water pressure and modern sanitaryware - Absolutely stunning barbecue hut and garden - Nice beds with good mattresses. I couldn’t recommend this cottage more! And thank you for a lovely Welcome basket, such a nice touch! 🙏🏻
Negative: Minor comments of what could be improved rather than “not like”. - Garbage disposal, maybe we missed it but we wanted to take trash out but couldn’t find information on it (where to take it). We didn’t stay long enough for it to become a big problem, however I didn’t like leaving trash behind when we left :) - 1 pot and 1 frying pan should be disposed of and replaced. They are burned and not suitable for cooking. - Coffee machine? Not a must I’m sure but could be a great addition to this lovely cottage! These are just minor items which did not impact our stay, more like notes for the owner.
