The basement apartment has a private entrance. As found in many hotels, the living room and bedroom are combined. It features Mid-Century Modern furnishings. A remote controls the whisper quiet air conditioning/heating unit that is separate from the rest of the house. You'll sleep soundly in the queen sized bed that has luxurious Sateen sheets. The kitchenette includes sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and flatware. A private modern bath features an Industrial Chic design. You'll have access to secure fast WiFi. Street parking is available. A unique key code will be issued prior to check in. The apartment is located in the Sunnymede neighborhood, one block south of historic Wayne St. (where Knute Rockne lived!). It's 1.5 miles to downtown, and near many good restaurants and entertainment venues. It's walkable (but a long walk, 2.1 miles, 47 minutes) to Notre Dame but most guests take Uber or drive. It's located in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Summary: everything was as expected. we walked to and from the Notre Dame game - a 7:30pm game. all was clean, quiet, safe & comfortable. Steve is fantastic!

Summary: My husband and I stayed here last weekend while visiting our freshman at ND and attending the ND/Stanford game. It is a 2 mile walk to campus which was perfect for us. Extremely clean, comfortable, and cozy. Steve was great to work with, kind and knowledgeable. Would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: Immaculate basement apartment with a retro theme. Host provided details like parking, ND bag policy, even the weekend program. Host has thought of everything. We were also surprised with cupcakes and a card because I had mentioned in my booking that it was our anniversary. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: This VRBO was in a nice quiet neighborhood only a couple of miles from the Notre Dame Stadium. The separate rental space is in a very private basement with your own entry/exit way. If there was someone in the upper elevations of the home you would have never known it. The accommodations are all very thoughtful and comfortable. We will defintely be looking to stay again on our annual visit to Notre Dame.

Summary: What a perfect place to stay! Steve was a fantastic host—communication was effective, the place was spotless, with attention to every detail: pillow choices, info about local places to park for the ND football game (which we used, and it was so simple!), a variety of extra toiletries, clean spaces, all in a picturesque, quiet street. It was wonderful to come back to a quiet, comfortable, roomy space to relax after a busy day. Would definitely stay here again when we come to our next ND game!

Summary: Very pleased with the host's, Steve's, basement apartment. Cozy and well equipped for our needs. Excellent attention to detail to ensure our stay was comfortable and worry free. Communication was great, parking was easy, check in process well thought out and easy. We stayed for a ND footbll weekend. Walk from the residence to campus is about 2 miles and another half mile to the stadium. Honestly not a bad walk and plenty of parking about a mile from campus near the Trader Joes if you want to cut it in half. Neighborhood and walk felt safe even at night. Will stay again!!!
