Bauchops Hill Station is a 2100ha working farm where our family have lived for three generations. Nestled in the Mackenzie basin, our cottage will allow you to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of country farm life whilst surrounded by stunning views of the mountains.
There is no cell phone coverage, so turn off and unwind -we do have WiFi!
Great views into Mt Dobson ski field, 25 minutes to Tekapo & Fairlie.
Farm tours available upon request, e.g sheep shearing, working dog demonstrations.
The space
The cottage features an open living area, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining table and a wood burner. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath with a separate toilet room. There are three bedrooms:

Bedroom #2 : Twin King Single Bedroom
Bedroom #3 : Twin King Single Bedroom

This is a working farm so we ask that guests don't freely explore the yards. However, we do provide a map of our farm and we are happy for guests to explore the trail featured.

Summary: There was a double booking, so we got moved to the cabin. It was charming and a nice place to stay for the night. The location is far out there!

Summary: Communication was very thin, but everything was easy, I had booked through an app and did not get notification, (Was a last minute booking). Property is in an idyllic rural setting, miles from the madding crowd, we just rocked up and settled in, they were expecting us and left everything ready, too easy. We did not see the host, we were left to relax in the lovely setting. The property fits its surroundings, it is simple and does what it says on the box, loved it. Thank you

Summary: Just a lovely place to get away from city life and slow down. Fire place, bath and fully equipped kitchen were great. Listening to farm life around us, plus the views of the mountains, some still with snow, and the birds singing made for a wonderful 3 night stay. Close to skiing and other activities. Would recommend for anyone wanting to escape from it all...no TV is a bonus.
