Welcome to 21501 Widgeon Terrace overlooking Estero Bay. Nestled in a gated community with direct Estero Bay views from nearly every room! Enormous open air bayside deck, with one side covered and screened. Bayside heated screened pool w/lights & spillover spa. Pier, dock and lift available to use during your stay. (Note; pier and dock scheduled to be rebuilt Spring 2025, Winter of 2025 will not have pier or dock). Property has a Kayak launch area into the Bay with a Kayak holder for 2 Kayaks near the launch area.
This bay-front property is located in a quiet gated community on the southern residential end of Estero Island. Just a short walk to the public beach access at Flamingo Street. Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and beach carts are provided for your use. Bicycles are also provided for your use. The island's major supermarket, Publix, CVS drugstore and a 7-Eleven Gas/Convenience store are just a short drive or bike ride away. There is also quick exit via the south bridge to nearby Lover’s Key, Bonita Springs, Estero and SWFL International Airport. In September 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed many homes, businesses and restaurants on Fort Myers Beach. The rebuild is progressing but taking a long time. Publix, CVS and 7-Eleven have rebuilt and reopened. Many restaurants have reopened, but maybe just temporarily in a food truck at the time being.
The property sits on a large lot with mature landscaping. Watch birds, fish and dolphins play in the bay. Bring your boat and tie up to the dock or use the lift and park your trailer in the extra side yard pavered driveway. Or bring your kayaks or SUP board and launch from the gentle sloped entrance into the bay water at the south corner of the lot.
21501 Widgeon Terrace has 2 guest bedrooms and a full bath, on the first elevated floor via stairs. On the second elevated floor is the Bayfront owner's suite, with sliding doors leading to a large open air balcony overlooking the bay. Suite has a walk-in closet with custom closet system and en-suite bath w/granite topped dual sink vanity and walk-in shower.
The spacious kitchen is located on the first elevated floor with a convenient pass-through window to the large screened porch. The screened porch has teak dining table seating 6, sofa and swivel chairs to view the bay or watch TV. Kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, refrigerator w/ice maker, range, microwave and dishwasher. Everything is available for multi-course creations, or simply making a pot of coffee first thing in the morning. The adjacent inside dining area looks out to the bay, and has a table seating 6.
Off the kitchen and dining area is the bright, spacious, and well-furnished living room, equipped with a 60 inch flat screen smart TV equipped with a subscription to YouTube TV provided. Use your own Netflix, Prime, HBO or other subscription to logon for your favorite streaming shows. There is a leather sectional sofa and chairs most excellent for viewing a movie or game. The corner of the living room has a desk and chair with extra computer monitor to use to multi screen your laptop.
A Laundry room is off the kitchen with sink and hanging areas.
The island has numerous restaurants and night life for your choosing. Water activities abound. There are parasailing, Jet Ski rentals and fishing charters to name a few. Your stay at 21501 Widgeon Terrace will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable beach getaway!
