Negative: The drive to the property was extremely wet and muddy. A potato peeler and masher would've been useful. Also a bit of clearing to make a sitting area in the garden would improve the stay

Positive: The cottage was absolutely spotless, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen beautiful, the sofa was very uncomfortable needs replacing we had to use bedroom pillows to get some sort of comfort.

Negative: The sofa is awful. Outside the cottage was disgraceful, weeds outside the door and grass area was very very overgrown and the grounds were a mud bath. If you didn’t have a car you couldn’t walk out because of puddles and mud that stretch the entire entrance.

Negative: Access in and out of the property was very bad. A massive hole full of water at the entrance of the access road to the property, we had to walk around the edges of the water in thick mud, our shoes, car and dog were muddy.

Summary: Wouldn’t stay here again, there was very little to do apart from walk everyday.

Positive: the inside was lovely and clean, location was ideal, little local shop at the end of the road.

Negative: the exterior was really untidy, outside the front door was very over grown, it would have been nice if that area was cleared and a little table and chairs put there. there was a washing machine but absolutly nothing to hang the washing on, needs an airer to put clothes on for drying.n

Positive: The interior of the cottage is lovely and has been really nicely done to a high standard. Log burner was a nice asset, bathroom well thought out, bath huge (took a while to fill but never ran out of hot water), kitchen facilities were adequate for a short break, huge TV in lounge, and decent TV in bedroom (once we found the disconnected aerial cable in the cupboard where the cleaning stuff is kept to get a picture). It was warm and generally cosy (so many radiators). The bed was very comfy (we meant to check what it was as we'd buy one but forgot), and the views from the bed over the fields were lovely.

Negative: Internally, the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. It was so low that I had to roll onto the floor on my knees to then stand up as I couldn't find a way to stand otherwise. It also rolls you towards the middle when seated. The TV soundbar was very boomy and rarely in sync with the picture. I work in sound and can usually adjust things, but eventually we just told the TV to use its own speakers as we couldn't find instructions for it. There were some basics missing (no veg peeler, no masher, no tongs, no bowl for the sink). The frying pan was tiny. It's not practical to use the dishwasher more than once each day and we often ran out of things so a bowl to wash up in would help as filling the sink was wasteful. There were only 3 dishwasher tabs provided for 4 nights stay. We don't use them at home, so didn't have any to take with us. Externally, everything from the start of the driveway right through to the cottage door needs some tlc. The entrance road is ridiculous. We had 3 + days of sunshine and still it was a quagmire. Huge potholes in the road that until our last morning were flooded the entire width of the road. The picture is as we departed last day, after days of sunshine. Wellies would be the only way to leave the site on foot, so we couldn't walk into the village. It's all just mud, and then once through the walled entrance to the parking area is just unkempt and overgrown and scruffy. There's a courtyard outside the bedroom door that's also really uncared for. Once inside the cottage it's lovely, but the exterior area is very poor, hence knocking some points off our score. Even the path from the parking area to the cottage hasn't been looked after. There's some sort of path under the grassy moss.... we'd stay again if the sofa was changed, but would take wellies for outside.

Positive: The location was perfect for us to explore local areas in North Wales. The property exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. A welcome basket was left for us for when we arrived, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

Negative: There was no secure area for our dog to be let out without a lead. However, we worked around that as we loved the property overall. We didn't get to meet the property owners during our stay.

Summary: Perfect location, excellent accommodation.

Positive: Very clean and homely. Decorated to a good standard and well furnished. Quiet location and near to a local shop and take away. Great place to stay for exploring North Wales. The information book provided was very useful. Kitchen catered for all essentials. Would recommend this if you’re planning a stay in the area

Negative: Loo roll holder needed fixing or replacing as was hanging off the wall when we arrived. Squeaky bathroom door.

Summary: Fantastic little place to stay for a week.
