Positive: Very responsive and friendly host, clear instructions. Well equipped with white goods.
Negative: The apartment is located in a very run-down rather poor neighbourhood which does not feel safe including street parking of the car. Kids were shocked. The advert calls it an „authentic neighbourhood which adds to the genuine Scottish experience“. I find this description totally off the mark. Moreover, the apartment needs a thorough facelift. Most of the furniture in the apartment is quite old, e.g. sofa beds were worn out and uncomfortable. Finally, the apartment is poorly soundproofed. The night activities of the neighbours could not be overheard.

Positive: The apartment was clean and the comfortable. It was good for a place to stay the night. We were a group of guests attending a wedding nearby so this place was convenient as somewhere close to sleep for the night. The hosts were very accommodating to us dropping off bags early and the communication around check-in was good.
Negative: The area felt unsafe which I understand isn’t really something you can control. The flat itself was clean and the beds were comfy but the finishing in the house was far from ideal. Light fittings were broken with exposed wires, the bed frame we slept in was very worn and broken although still comfy enough. Radiator covers were damaged and it looked like art had been put on the walls to deliberately cover damage caused by damp or something like that.
Summary: A clean and comfortable place to sleep but not to spend a lot of time in.
