Positive: A magical cottage nestled in a beautiful small town. It offered three women a peaceful retreat after their business trip—a few nights to unwind and discover the beauty of the English coast. The people here are truly wonderful. Absolute privacy, tranquil quiet, and the sea just a glance away. While the amenities were entirely adequate, we chose to spend our evenings dining at nearby restaurants and walking along the shoreline. And yes, we thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the sea—the waves are simply breathtaking. The cottage is located just a short walk from the sea, tucked away among the villas in an almost enclosed space. It feels exceptionally safe and hidden from public view, yet still offers beautiful vistas of both the sea and the town. At night, you can see the distant lights of the harbor and the Ferris wheel illuminating the dark. The dining area is cleverly positioned between the two bedrooms, with the living room located at the far end of the house, ensuring an undisturbed night's sleep. The property is equipped with a washing machine, a full bathroom with a tub and toilet, as well as an additional separate toilet. The neighboring apartment did not disturb us at all, as it has its own private entrance. In particular, we want to highlight the incredible Mr. Duncan, who managed our arrival and departure, and kindly assisted us when we accidentally got locked out upon leaving. Communication was wonderful even despite a slight language barrier on our part, as this trip was also a language learning experience for us. His own paintings beautifully adorn the interior; sitting on the comfortable sofa, savoring the stay with a coffee in hand, we could easily lose ourselves in thoughts about his travels. Felixstowe features a stunning garden in the town center, and we have a strong suspicion that the owner himself played a part in cultivating its beauty. Thank you for the opportunity to experience English hospitality and this wonderful coastal environment.

Positive: Our host was at the property to meet us and was very welcoming and in showing us around the cottage, such a lovely man and greeted us with a warmth that was reassuring for our stay. There were lovely welcome gifts left for our disposal. The cottage was very pleasant and very spacious, with all rooms in a most accommodating fashion. Everywhere was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The décor and paintings on the walls were spectacular. Nice bathroom with shower and bath. Clean towels in abundance. Kitchen was very spacious and had everything you would need to make decent meals possible. Wonderful sea views from every room almost. Cottage was nice and warm on chilly nights and mornings. Nice private outside seating area where we ate most days, but lovely dining room if you wanted to eat in. Living room was nice and comfortable with Tv provided. Key cabinet to secure indoor keys if you needed to leave the property. Cottage sleeps 4 people if needed. Double bedroom contained ample lighting. Nice view of Felixstowe all lit up at night from bedroom window, all windows contained venetian blinds. Hope to return next year, such did we enjoy our stay.
Negative: Parking area was free and just a short walk away, but when you returned to car each time, you would find the many birds in the overhanging trees had covered the vehicle in horrible excrement, no ones fault just natures way, but very annoying on a clean car.
Summary: All in all a wonderful 4 day break which we both enjoyed immensely and went far too quickly, 10/10.

Positive: A lovely location within a very short walk to the sea. Good size accordion with everything you would need for a beach holiday. The host Duncan left a basket of goodies and milk in the fridge. A lovely touch.
