Absolute beachfront setting with unobstructed sea views. Only 2.5 hours mostly scenic drive from Auckland, or 25 mins to Whangarei. Watch the Kingi's chase the sprats in the bay from your bed as you wake up, and the gannets diving at any time. All tide boat launching ramp (AWD or4x4 recommended except full tide). Special 3 bedroom 2 bathroom bach in a private bay, 100m below the road, so quiet and safe. The bach has a great feel, and is the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and to enjoy all the special features this area has to offer. Lovely gardens. Decks on front and rear, giving views over the bay or up to the magnificent Mt Manaia, so no matter where the sun or wind is, there is a sheltered spot. Double carport. $ minutes walk to the tennis courts, 10 minute drive to Golf Club or Ocean Beach (sandy surf /swimming beach with life savers in summer). Easy walk to local Manaia Club and Deck cafe. Safe swimming beach in front. Snapper 50 to 100m off shore, and pipi's in the next bay. (The scallop fishery has been closed recently (2022) for 2 years to allow regeneration.) A 12 ft aluminium dinghy is usually available upon request for fishing in the bay. Numerous walks (Mt Manaia, Mt Lion, Bream Head, Busby Point, Mt Aubrey, plus many easy seaside walks) and items of historical significance within minutes. Numerous art galleries within a short drive. A beautiful area overlooked by too many who continue north of Whangarei.

A good time is encouraged, with wine/beer/BBQ etc, but rowdy parties are not permitted.

Summary: We all loved our stay here. A secluded beach out the front of the Bach. The Bach had all the essentials and more. Lovely having the dingy available for our use. We loved watching all the ships passing from Marsden Point. Friendly owners and excellent communication. Close to Whangarei and Parua Bay shops. Lots of walks and swimming spots nearby. We are all very keen to return.

Summary: Beautiful location ! Loved our stay. We were really fortunate with the weather. Loved stargazing from the main bedroom at night. Easy communication with Nick , especially around the provision of linen. The only sugggestion I have is that the signage could be a bit clearer from the street and that something could be done regarding the mugginess in the kitchen cupboards. All in all.. loved our stay and a great way to start to the year.

Summary: Our weekend at this bach was a real treat. Walking, rowing in the dinghy, bit cold for swimming still - but sitting on the deck overlooking all the action was so cool. Dolphins, ocean swimmer, and the highlight, a pod of orcas cruising past just soo close! We loved it.
