Summary: Very cute & well stocked with a lot of little "extras" to make the stay more enjoyable. My kids loved putting the food in the deer feeder & then waiting for deer to come eat it (which they did!). The fire pit was very nice & had plenty of chopped firewood so we didn't have to go searching for fire wood ourselves. There was even a couple of lanterns that we used to light our way back & forth. Although we didnt use them, I saw fishing poles & even charcoal & lighter fluud for the grill. The basket of throw blankets was a nice touch. We definitely used those to snuggle up on the couch. We weren't there much because we spent the weekend at Holiday World, but the time we were there, we enjoyed. This wasn't necessarily a "negative" for us, but the one "private" bedroom is also in the sleeping loft. It has a door, but the top is open. So if you're a couple who may want privacy, or if you snore really loud, everyone else outside that door will be able to hear. The sleeping loft has a regular queen-size bed, a regular full-size bed, a full-size bed in the nook, & then the queen-size bed in the bedroom. There's also a pull-out sofa bed down in the living room. One thing I myself overlooked when booking (which is my fault), there is not a washer/dryer. There is a laundry mat a couple of miles away. We had no issues or need to contact the owners, but there was a binder with all the instructions/information we needed. We had a good stay & I would recommend

Summary: It was cozy & had what we needed. Not very buggy for being in woods. Lots of lights. You still have to drive to get to lake so we actually spent more time with friends camping there, although we were glad for plumbing and a roof during heavy rain. It was in one of the nicer spots in Birdseye area, which is pretty run down. The appliances we used worked. Stairs are steep and no bathrooms on second floor, so if you use it in the middle of night, be extra careful. The enclosed bedroom was private but not walled to ceiling. There was a separate cooling unit that got a bit noisy going on/off unless put on a cooler temp. Slight kibble smell but i guess from the deer food. We didn’t use fire pit or feed deer. There was some party going on nearby on Sat night, got a little loud. Walk in shower is tight despite large bathroom size so the bathroom with bath is better for bigger people.

Summary: We’re glad we found this cabin for our recent get-away! It's charming, comfortable, secluded, clean and conveniently close to places we wanted to visit-- which included beautiful Patoka State Park (where a big field of sunflowers near the lake/beach were in full-bloom), the opulent French Lick Hotel and Resort, and the historic and breath-taking West Baden Springs Hotel. (The hotel's spectacular atrium currently is closed to the public following a recent hail storm that damaged the glass dome, but you can still marvel at the atrium from the many entrances that open into it. The hotel is still welcoming guests and the restaurants and other attractions remain open.) Evenings in our cabin in the woods were quiet, comfy and cozy. We really appreciated the opportunity to stay there and we thank Claire for her thoughtful hospitality.

Summary: Cabin was most excellent for our weekend stay. Can’t say enough good things about Claire from the initial reservation till the end of our stay. Plenty of room for 5 guys and our two boats. Overall we had a great time beautiful country, very nice. Fishing was challenging but mid summer on an unfamiliar lake to be understood. Thank you, Randy
