Beautiful private sound front property shaded by 100-year old live oak trees with a dock. Just one mile from The Boathouse Marina, public boat ramp, and two miles from the Beaufort docks...perfect distance for golf cart rides. This amazing tucked-away rental sports the most incredible sunrise in Carteret County as it rises over Harkers Island bridge. Life is slower here where the egrets fish in the marsh and dolphins play as the tide lazily rolls in. This 1800-sq-ft comfortable cottage has been recently renovated and boasts three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full capacity laundry room, and spacious living and entertaining areas, including two outdoor decks for additional leisure. Plenty of space to park boat and trailer in yard. Male and female beach cruiser bicycles provided for meandering through town. Brand new dock that is 12-foot on the T. Catch crabs in the crab pot provided and fish off the dock. No swimming due to oyster rocks in the marsh and shallow water. Bring your kayaks for incredible adventures through the marsh. By boat, it's only 20 minutes to get to the Cape and 7 minutes to Wade Shore and Shackelford Banks. Gas up the boat around the corner at Boathouse marina. Linens included; smoking outdoors only. Summary: We were supposed to be in Florida for New Year’s but travel conflicts changed our plans. After several cancelled flights we decided just to drive down to the NC coast and found this great hideaway. Description and pictures are all accurate and views are absolutely beautiful. Home is minutes from downtown Beaufort which was perfect for enjoying all of the wonderful restaurants and scenery. The property owner was extremely hospitable and prompt with our inquiries. We will absolutely consider staying here again.

Summary: Three of us guys have stayed here 2x to be near where we like to fish. Having the boat dock soo close to the house is very convenient. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who is looking to get on the water or wants to take in Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, etc. Great host as well. Jen is fantastic!!

Summary: If you want peace and quiet that is close to Beaufort, this is the place for you. We rented a golf cart which was fun. This area is a gem because it is “old Beaufort” in that it seems to be folks whose families have lived and grown up here, so definitely be respectful of that. The huge Live Oaks are gorgeous and having them as company on the back deck for morning coffee and evening wine was fantastic. We loved being able to leave our boat at the dock and were blessed to have great weather - went out to Shackelford Banks and saw some ponies and out to Cape Lookout. The house is clean and spacious and the bedrooms are at one end of the house so if there are late nighters or early birds, no one is disturbed. Beds are very comfortable, washer and dryer was appreciated, the kitchen was sufficiently supplied, although a second medium sized pan would have been welcome. My only suggestion would be to have some starter bath soap in the bathrooms. We will definitely be back!!

Summary: The view was incredible. Only two issues that wasn’t really that big a deal. The front door was so swollen. You pretty much had to kick it to get in. There had been a lot of rain though. The Sulphur smell in the water was very strong. Expect some sulfur smell being at the beach, but this was the strongest . Like I said minor things I look forward to staying again. And hopefully will see you next October Thank you very much for letting us stay

Summary: The location was on the water and the dock and setting made the place. Great place for morning coffee and afternoon beverages. The bathroom setup made it hard to share with a bigger group. The bathroom sink needs to be fixed so water can drain without prying a knife in. The front steps are out of code with the top step off by 1 and one half inches. You should fix before someone gets hurt.
