Positive: We chose the Beau Rivage for its beautiful location - but to our delight, the accommodation and service excelled on every level. From the warm welcome through to when we departed, everything was just perfect. The cleanliness was faultless, the bed was comfortable and the thoughtful welcome pack of essential grocery items upon arrival was so well thought through. The staff were always on hand and were all wonderful. The views out over St Brelade’s bay are beautiful.

Positive: The view was fantastic. It was quiet at night and hearing the sea was soporific. More than 10 people swimming in the sea over the course of the morning and kayaks and other boats, kite flyers etc - plenty to see and plenty of room. Staff were very welcoming and everything was clean. I think we had booked a room without the view and got a free upgrade which was appreciated. Rooms with balconies looked very nice but we didn't have one of those. Sofa bed made up on arrival which was very nice, and bed in main room was huge. We really liked the bedside lamps with usb ports included so we could easily charge phones etc Lots of towels provided - all soft and fluffy Cases taken up for us Lots of lovely goodies as a welcome pack, bottled water and even milk which we had not expected and stopped at a shop to get on the way there - perhaps let guests know what is provided? As a consequence we were later than they expected but they still welcomed us in. Excellent, but fairly expensive, breakfast in the mid bay cafe next door which does get very busy and therefore noisy After the first morning we cooked for ourselves in the small but well equipped kitchen - perfectly good for the three of us. On the ground floor there is an outside terrace protected from the wind and conservatory with bar inside overlooking the beach. Bathroom facilities and luggage storage if checking out but staying around for the rest of the day. Lovely garden/park area with benches facing the beach & sea almost next to the hotel with "borrow a bucket" boxes and a fresh water fountain if you need to wash the sand off your feet. Lights around the bays were very pretty and great for an evening stroll. Parade of shops, including baker, grocer (Morrisons) and pharmacy a short bus/car ride away and bus stop right outside the hotel, parking immediately opposite the hotel entrance.

Negative: Dinner plates too big to fit into the dishwasher Shower a little cramped and not very powerful, however the shower gels and shampoos were lovely lift not working, but we knew that before arrival, but when working it would enhance the facilities. Sofa bed not quite as comfortable as a proper bed - but again we expected that and booked anyway Nothing to do with the hotel but lots of food places close fairly early (8.30pm) - including the Pizza restaurant almost next door. However we did find a very nice chinese takeaway still open as a result and there was a burger bar and pizza takeaway near the beach not far away that was also still open.

Summary: Very quiet and comfortable short break at a reasonable price

Positive: The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. One lady kindly told us where some nice walks were and answered our questions on where would and may not be open in December. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to thd St Saviour suite with balcony and Seaview. The bed was large and very comfortable. The sofa was comfortable too and the kitchen well equipped.

Negative: Nothing, all perfect. Just to note though that the car park belonging to the property is small. There is a public carpark behind it, which is free in the winter months.

Positive: Elizabeth, the host, was so friendly and welcoming. The property was right on the beach which was perfect! The room was big enough for three adults to comfortably stay. We had a great time!
