Stella Farm has great flow, which makes it ideal for entertaining and vacationing in all seasons. Winters are spent by the three fireplaces – in the kitchen, dining room and living room. The house is ideal for both cozy fireside meals in the kitchen with friends or hosting the whole family by the hearth for Thanksgiving. In the summer you can enjoy a beautiful swimming pool, a brand new 6 person hot tub, an organic vegetable garden, a charming pond and beautiful grounds. There is a large screened in porch off the kitchen and a deck overlooking the pond. The dock, row boat and swimming tubes invite much fun in the summer months. There is also a state of the art trampoline, tether ball and many other fun activities. Stella farm is extremely child and family friendly. Also perfect for a romantic getaway.
The house is ideally situated – near Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Tivoli and Bard College's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts. Twenty minutes from the the Amtrak station and nearby to both the Catskills and Berkshires for skiing and cultural events. Hudson is 20 minutes away for excellent antiquing and dining. And very nearby are both Greig and Meade Farms for seasonal fruit and vegetables along with Gigi's market.

Summary: We had an amazing weekend at this beautiful and relaxing farmhouse. The pool is incredible, the house is totally charming, and Carolyn was extremely helpful. Snap this place up if you can!

Summary: We did enjoy our stay here. However, our entire search for a place to stay was centered on having a hot tub. We found this place which looked perfect - lots of land for our 2 kids to run around on, the hot tub we wanted, a pool and a trampoline that the kids were very excited for. The house was beautiful but it seemed like no one had been there for some time - there were a lot of flies inside the house. Like 10-20 in the living room alone. It's an old farmhouse so some of that is to be expected. When we got in we went to the hot tub first thing only to discover that it was completely empty. We went to the trampoline to see it was filthy. It was covered in branches and debris that had clearly collected over time. Obviously wind and weather can knock leaves and branches down but when you pay as much as we did for a place to stay you expect everything to be in decent working order as was advertised to us. It was not. When I contacted the owner she said she'd been out of country which frankly should not matter. If you're renting to people you should make sure everything is taken care of no matter where you are. Overall we did have a great time and our husbands took some time to clean the trampoline so the kids could play but I was fairly unimpressed for the amount of money we paid. Maybe this was a fluke but I wouldn't stay here again.

Summary: My husband and I stayed at Stella Farm for our fifth wedding anniversary during peak Hudson Valley fall. The house was everything you want an 1800s farmhouse to be: quirky, inviting, lived-in, and full of natural light. We appreciated the owner’s “what’s ours is yours” approach to the place—don’t miss the curated, yet well-stocked bar cart. I enjoyed wandering around the property just before sunrise to watch the fog roll over the hills and over the pond. We’ve stayed in some pretty spectacular places, but it’s safe to say this property will stay with us for a while!

Summary: We’ve stayed in older homes before but staying at this early 1800’s home put us back in time. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The owners were always just a phone call away and we found them eager to please. This could be the stage for a memorable family holiday as it reminded us of past family reunions.

Summary: First off, the property is really stunning. Waking up to have coffee on the patio overlooking the large pond was a dream. It is so spacious that we couldn't even find the pool at first! Perhaps the owner can draw up a map for guests like us who are clueless. (Haha) The house is very old and very charming, however there were a few concerns that seemed a bit unsafe like the downstairs bathroom floor, edge lip on the stairs. For adults not much of a problem. Personally, I was happy not to be staying with my kids, so none of that was much of an issue. Overall it was easy to contact host, easy to checkin/out and easy to enjoy an absolutely idyllic setting. If a little maintenance went in to that downstairs bath and other small concerns, it would be perfection.

Summary: We had an excellent time here. The house has a lot of character and it’s grounds are beautiful. The pool is large and was always the right temperature. The kitchen has nice appliances and is very functional. We liked having morning coffee on the screened-in porch. Plenty of room too! Communication with Carolyn was very easy and she was very responsive. The house is convenient to Red Hook and Rhinebeck. We would definitely come back !

Summary: Stella Farms is a beautiful farmhouse that sits on stunning grounds with a stream,pond, gardens and a pool and hot tub worthy of a resort. The screened in porch is where we spent our nights eating at the round table and overlooking the pond. We would have nightly visits from hummingbirds feeding at all the flowers around the porch. The bedrooms were comfortable and cool with window AC's. The kitchen was stocked with every dish/pot/cups and appliances you could imagine. The house really makes you feel at home and is the perfect combo of old farmhouse charm with current touches. Caroline was always available to answer any questions and its evident this house is a special place they want to share with others.

Summary: Enjoyed spending time with my family at this relaxing idyllic property. We loved the screened in porch overlooking the pond, the pool, and beautiful nature surrounding us. Lovely historic home is quaint and has everything you need. Location is perfect; minutes from town and Greig’s Farm (a must visit). Would be happy to revisit.

Summary: What a gem! This is real, upstate farmhouse life. Set on a majestic property overlooking a lovely pond, you are surrounded by beauty.
