The space
This home is amazing all year round with a gorgeous lake view and direct access to the lake. Your home away from home perfect for a washington vacation.
This beautiful estate is about 20 mins to downtown tacoma, 45 mins to sea-tac airport, conveniently located 10 mins from i-5 and other highways.
Astounding, luxurious estate furnished to an impeccable standard. It's an ideal retreat for an out of the ordinary and upscale stay, located on spanaway lake. We believe it will be a wonderful home to enjoy and relax with your loved ones. Ideal for families looking for a unique "home away from home" or a secluded break. Also, a perfect location for small special gatherings, corporate meetings or retreats. (with prior host approval)
Amenities enjoyed by both adults and children besides a gorgeous lakeview from most rooms are our media room with a multi-function ping-pong table and projector for movie nights.. For outdoor activities that would be our huge grass backyard with a gravel area with firepit with chairs provided, horseshoe game set up, and of course the water sport years e.g. Kayaks, water peddle bike for 2 and water slide right into the lake. If you are into fishing, you can have a seat right on the dock. Loads to do for all tastes, from outdoors to total isolation for those who prefer the luxury yet homely and comfy.
**published rate is for 4 guests. For additional guest(s) beyond the 4th guest, there is an additional charge of $30/person/night. We would prefer to host a small group rather than a big group due to limited parking space**
Beds (6 total beds: 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, 1 twin bed and 1 bunk bed).
You can easily park up to 7 cars on the paved driveway. Do not under any circumstances park on the lawn. We can only provide air mattress for additional guests if needed, with bed sheets/blankets/towels and of course full access to all amenities, if that works out for you.
Kindly note only registered and paid guests can stay at the premises. Host reserves the right to terminate the booking immediately shall this house rules is not respected and followed, without refund for the remaining stay.
Guest access
You will have the entire house to yourself, the house is rambler so it is perfect for anyone with accessibility concerns. All bedrooms, living room, dining room, office, family room are easily accessible without any entry way steps. Garage is not available for use and will be locked upon check in. Washer and dryer available for use along with commercial size refrigerator with prior notice.
Extra details
We love to accommodate small reunions and family gatherings especially with children. You have the comfort of staying in the house before, during, and after the occasions.
However, all special occasions/gatherings must be approved by us at the time the reservation is made. The estate has outdoors surveillance cameras for your own safety. In case of a party, event or get together without prior authorization, the booking will be terminated immediately without refund.
Published rates are for family stays exclusively. Fees for small events and gatherings (if permitted) are in addition to the stay fees. Contact us for details.
All gatherings must end by 10:00pm.

Summary: Our family of 5 really enjoyed this very private exceptionally laid out space. The back yard of this ranch backs up to the shoreline with a fire pit very near the shoreline. The views from every room were a treat.

Summary: We loved the property. The neighbor caused us some trouble because my nephews/nieces were playing in the yard and they claimed it sounded like people were being injured. The property had many beds and the master was extremely comfortable.

Summary: Our family and two other families stayed at Sandy's house over Labor Day weekend. Our kids ranged in ages from 4 to 13. The house itself is large and has great communal spaces to hang out, including the kids / media room where we happily spent every evening watching movies. The kitchen is well laid out and really well appointed. We cooked several large meals for our 11 guests and had pretty much everything we needed. The smart fridge was an unexpected source of fun for us all too as we watched music videos and left each other notes constantly! It was great to have all the older kids sleep in one room together, and there were plenty of activities at the house and in the garden to keep the kids occupied while we enjoyed a glass of wine, which is a massive bonus when trying to keep kids off their devices. The lawn area is huge and came complete with several games set up (horse shoes, badminton, corn holes) and a firepit, not to mention the kayaks, water slide and lake access. We brought paddle boards and some inflatables and spent a great deal of time outdoors when the weather was nice. We reached out to Sandy about a couple of things and she was incredibly responsive and helpful. She also left us some very thoughtful welcome gifts - and a note on the smart fridge! An all-round great host. Spanaway itself is not a great neighborhood and had we all known that, we might have thought twice about renting this property. However, we didn't have to leave the house except for a couple of emergency Safeway trips, so didn't encounter anything negative during our stay. We would definitely come again to enjoy this amazing space and all its amenities.

Summary: We loved staying at the Elephant house for our family reunion! There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep and bathrooms to get ready in. The backyard was our favorite place to gather together - being right on the lake was so peaceful and calming. I appreciated how communication with Sandy, the host, was always prompt and clear - I never waited longer than a couple minutes for a response. I have already recommended this location to family and friends and we hope to enjoy another stay ourselves in the future!

Summary: The house has an amazing view of the lake from almost every room. The very large back deck was relaxing and we all enjoyed the kayaks and pedal boat and the kids loved the slide!

Summary: The home on elephant lake was absolutely breath taking!! The second we walked in the door, our jaws hit the floor. The pictures in the listing barely do justice to how stunning this property is. We had a rather large group for 5 nights and there was more space and entertainment than we could ever asked for. We loved playing all the yard games provided and loved having use of all the water toys as well. The slide was a HUGE hit for the kiddos. Sandy was amazing and very responsive. We will surely be back to enjoy this gorgeous home again….but hopefully for longer next time 💖🥰

Summary: Sandy the owner has been on point since day one. She has answered all my questions and concerns. Very friendly, had a personal welcoming note on their digital refrigerator and left us a few drinks. On the first day on the lake the paddle for the kayak broke on the first day. I told her what had happened and she and her husband came out and replaced it with new ones the same day. Even offered to take us out on the lake with their boat. My family enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it and would do it again. 🙂

Summary: The Elephant Lake house in Spanaway was a delight. We enjoyed the pedal boat, the fire pit, and games in the back yard. The landscape and view from the back patio is beautiful and peaceful. Frank and Sandy were accommodating and very nice. The house itself is very clean and cozy.
