Lakeside Cabin with bunkhouse on very level lot. Main house sleeps 4 comfortably. The main bedroom sleeps 2 and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Full kitchen and bathroom with large living room and a dining/entry. The bunkhouse has 2 bunk beds twin over full, 3/4 bathroom. and also has a stacked washer/dryer. Calm mid-size lake with low traffic and great fishing. There are 2 docks and two boat lifts (one large/one small), swimming raft, and kayaks for you to enjoy. We rent Sunday to Sunday. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m check-out is at 10:00 a.m. Liquor store and excellent meat shop just 4 miles up the road! Ask about renting the pontoon!

Summary: Excellent location, gorgeous property. The corner location on the lake was awesome. Close to Glenwood and Alexandria for town runs. The huge grassy lawn was great and it is level all the way to the water. The two docks were a real hit with my sons, 8 and 13, and they had great luck with dock fishing. Water access for activities and boating was great. The lift was a little bit of an issue (didn't get low enough, so was tough getting boat off) but that may be due to water level? Firepit and outdoor seating was great. Interior spaces had almost everything you need and were clean (aside from under the living room couches). One thing that came up was the lack of a scissors or kitchen shears. The many windows in the main house and bunkhouse provided beautiful views and allowed us to keep track of kids easily. The last two days of our stay got into the high 80s with very little breeze, and the AC in the main cabin did not seem to get cool, so it got pretty stuffy and stayed warm overnight. The bunkhouse AC worked great, but bring a fan (two provided in main house but were put to use) to pull the cold air out of the bathroom (AC unit is in bath window). The bunkhouse needs better clothes storage options. Overall, the complaints are minor and were definitely not deal-breakers. Accommodations are comparable to a modest cabin resort but with lots of little touches and extras that are appreciated like: s'mores station, fresh flowers in a vase on the table, tons of board games, plenty of extra towels and blankets, adult and youth kayaks, swim platform, yard games, life jackets, mini fridge in bunkhouse and medium size fridge in garage, propane grill, washer and dryer, microwave and small coffeemaker in bunkhouse, etc too many to list. We had a great vacation and would stay here again.

Summary: We had a great time at the cabin with our two young children! The cabin was perfect, clean, and with everything you need - including a s’mores station! The large yard with access to the water, beach area for sand castles and swimming, lawn games and water toys, added to a really fun week! It was so peaceful and loved the beautiful sunsets by the fire. Would love to come back!

Summary: This property was just what we were looking for! It was clean, comfortable and well appointed! There were so many conveniences like the washer and dryer, beach towels, kayaks and ceiling fans. It was quiet on our end of the lake which made kayaking pleasant. Our young grandchildren had a terrific time playing on the sandy beach and catching small sunfish in their sand pails! The fire pit and chairs were great for singing around the campfire! We rented the pontoon which was in good working order and made the trip extra fun! The bunkhouse makes this is a great set up for a small, multi-generational family gathering (there were 9 of us). Ryan and Cheryl were excellent hosts! Cheryl answered many questions for me ahead of our trip, and Ryan was there to greet us when we arrived. He even made a special trip out to the property during a work day when we were running low on fuel for the pontoon! The weather was great! There mosquitoes were minimal! We had a terrific time!

Summary: Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin! Renting the pontoon all week was the best decision we made, and Ryan was so great to give us a quick lesson when we first arrived. Maple Lake is clean with lots of places to go paddle boarding, kayaking or just a nice stroll around the lake to look at houses. Its the first time we got to bring our dogs with, which made it so memorable and fun. The cabin had everything we needed plus more and it was impeccably clean! Thank you Ryan and Cheryl we will be back next year!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this home in August 2018. The lake was very clear and the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owners kept in contact to make sure we had what we needed and the homemade strawberry jam they provided was delicious. We enjoyed the large yard and the very comfortable hammock. Summary: Our family had a wonderful stay at the "Little Red Cabin". The cabin and grounds were very clean,the beds are comfortable and the cabin was equipped with anything we could possibly need. Our grandchildren enjoyed sleeping in the bunkhouse, fishing off the dock, kayaking and swimming. A big plus is that there is a boat lift included with the rental. We'll be back in 2019!! Summary: Our hosts were very accommodating! The cabin and bunk house were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the pontoon, and our grandchildren enjoyed the fishing, swimming off the float and seeing the fish in the clear water of the lake. Very relaxing!

Summary: The cabin and bunk house were well laid out, well equipped and very clean. We spent many hours swimming, boating fishing and jet skiing from the two docks. The yard is very large and we each had a turn or two napping on the hammock. Ryan and Cheryl were there at check in and made sure we had everything we needed. Cheryl left us a jar of her home made strawberry jam in the fridge which was amazing. The sunsets were something else to watch nightly! The lake is very clean. I was very impressed with the courtesy of the other boaters, jet skiers and fisherman on the lake. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. We look forward to staying here again.
