Summary: We enjoyed the property so much, and it allowed us to enjoy our time in the UP to visit family and friends, and then come back to the property to chill out, relax, and sleep. More than enough space for the 5 of us, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Summary: We stayed here for a little over a month to do some work and studying while house shopping. Overall it is a great little place at a fair price, if you are coming here to ski with small family we highly recommend it. We gave 4 stars because the internet kept going out and needed to be reset about over a dozen times during our stay, and when it worked it was too slow for teleconferencing or streaming. The side of the building could use some repairs as well, or some caulking replaced in spots. Allison and Brent said the internet will be fixed in the future and were both pleasant to interact with.

Summary: Love that it is located so close to the hill. Furniture is a little out date, which we didn’t mind, but it is not very comfortable to sit in after a day of skiing. Kitchen was very well stocked which we were glad because we forgot our crock pot and was excited to see one.

Summary: I had a conference scheduled that got cancelled due to Covid, so we decided to have a family ski weekend instead. While the family skied, I attended my conference. I was worried I would not have any service, but was pleasantly surprised! Wi-Fi was great (aside disconnection one day - the host gave me directions to re-set the router). I spent a lot of quiet time by the wood fire and spent time with my family in the evening. Plenty of space and over the place!

Summary: We spent a week here around Christmas, and it was truly delightful. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, with all the expected amenities. The abundant wood supply for the wonderful fireplace was a particularly nice touch. We also enjoyed the fact that each room had separate thermostats, which allowed us all to sleep in our preferred temperatures. The only complaint came from our daughter, who slept in the loft upstairs. It's a lovely space, but there is no door, so every sound downstairs echoed up to her. As a teenager, the fact that she had to wake up each day at the same time as her parents did not go over well! :) But no one should want to sleep in late here, because the ski slopes beckon from just across the street (probably around 200-250 yards from the door to the lift). Since sunset in late December comes just after 4:00 p.m., early starts are a good idea. This is an ideal site for a get-away-from-it-all vacation, because there are only a few very small towns in the vicinity and no distractions at all. Cell phone and data reception was spotty for us. As far as I'm concerned, that's a good thing! Internet was available, and while it might be slower than some urban visitors have come to expect, it was adequate for our needs. We all agreed that we want to come back here in the future (even our daughter said so!).
