Come stay with us in our beautiful cozy cottage, on a small lot located in the town of Copake Falls, walking distance to Taconic State Park. Enjoy great farm to table dining. Ski the Berkshires just under 10 minutes to Catamount Ski, hike to Bash Bish Falls, bike the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, and swim in the spring fed iron ore pit during the open season. There is tremendous hiking and biking, fishing golf and just about any way to enjoy the great outdoors.
Our beautifully restored cottage is just under 2.5 hours from NYC. We have two bedrooms that comfortably accommodate four. Relax in a deep soaking tub, or enjoy some wine and recline on the large deck.

Summary: Traveled in for the weekend for a wedding. We were very comfortable and especially enjoyed the heated floors in the bathroom. We had a cool, almost cold night. Loved enjoying my coffee on the deck in the morning and taking walks from the cottage. Great neighbors!

Summary: All updated and laid out very comfortably for a nice stay in the area. Bed was great and everything needed in the kitchen was there. The bathroom even had heated floors!!! What a beautiful little cabin. A little closer to the neighbors than I could gather from the photos online but it was so quiet and lovely you would never know. Well done and much work put into the property for the enjoyment of renters. I totally would go back.

Summary: We finally took our honeymoon after getting married over a year ago and found ourselves in a lovely, cozy, clean, and picturesque place. We felt comfortable with the level of cleanliness. We appreciated all of the little touches from the games to the little Italian lights we could plug in around the deck. We have already recommended this lovely house to others along with all of the nearby hikes!

Summary: This was mostly a lovely little home with a large, sunny deck close to the area's major attractions. The home itself was airy and light, with high ceilings and lots of very beautiful wood details (including a gorgeous butcher block counter). If not for a few flaws, it would have been a perfect stay. The most impactful of these flaws was the air conditioning. The house was air conditioned with a single unit in the living space. It kept the living space comfortable but not too cool, which was perfect. But the cool air did not reach into the bedrooms and they were uncomfortable, even with tower fans. Friday night the air was cool, and it was fine to sleep with open windows and a fan. But Saturday night was hot, and all of us had difficulty sleeping. One of the bedrooms was very small, so small that a full size bed filled nearly the entire room. My husband and I rented the house with another couple in order to attend a wedding in nearby Hillsdale. So each bedroom housed 2 full sized adults. One of the two bedrooms was fine, the other really was very cramped for 2 adults. We only needed to sleep in the bedrooms, so the fact that one was very small would have been fine if the air conditioning reached into the bedrooms. Secondly, the pipes made a horrible, screeching noise when you engaged the diverter to take a shower instead of a bath. I played with it quite a bit and was able to get it to stop for a while, so I imagine this is a minor fix for a skilled plumber. Other than that the bathroom itself was lovely, with a deep tub and a very beautiful organic feel to it. If the bedrooms were also air conditioned, and the bathroom diverter was fixed, this would have been a nearly perfect stay. The house was clean, well furnished and airy, and had a great location. I would happily rent this property again, or recommend it to others, if the air conditioning and the shower diverter is addressed.

Summary: This is a lovely property and charming cottage. We so enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching birds and bunnies. The bedrooms are on the small side but certainly adequate. The owners responded almost immediately when we needed the a/c set up. Copake Falls is a small village but we didn’t mind driving to Great Burlington for groceries and restaurants. An absolute must is the hike to Bash Bish Falls.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for us (couple with one child). It provided all the amenities, it was very clean and cozy. We loved being so close to the Catamount, the neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you Kathrina and Robert for sharing your beautiful house with us!
