Summary: This was a great place to stay for the weekend, and a relatively short drive to the NY Sheep and Wool festival we were attending. Very clean, and inviting, host responded to questions quickly. Kitchen well equipped. Overall exactly what we needed. Although the couch does fold out, wouldn't recommend for an adult to sleep on.

Summary: Cozy is definitely the word. This is a small unit that is great for a pied-a-terre for touring the area – it’s an easy drive to the Culinary Institute of America. On arrival the key box worked perfectly. Our stay was in summer weather and the entry door did require a good shove to open and close. We appreciated the motion-sensing light on the stairs which made it easy to get our stuff in and set up. The whole unit was spotless, well decorated and well stocked. A window AC unit kept the bedroom perfectly comfortable for sleeping. The bed was very soft for us but very comfortable once we got used to it. The living room was a little warm on the hot and humid days of our stay. The kitchen is well equipped.

Summary: The accommodation was lovely - clear that owners might have recently updated and they included every amenity except it was missing paper towels, tissues and ice cube trays. As a landlord of a vacation property, I just bought two of three items and left them as gifts. I scored a four on communications because I'm an advance planner and provide info to my guests at least a month ahead - like what amenities they will find, any rules. I didn't get the key code until 24 hours in advance but then learned owner was off visiting colleges with his son. Owner was most accommodating when it came to the TV. I couldn't figure out how to turn it on. He immediately sent another son to help me and bring new batteries for the remote. I'd checked all the connections so battery was only answer. But it wasn't. Turned out a wall switch had to be turned on and none of us knew it or thought about it. Problem solved! Like in any house, a few other minor problems arose - bottom of shower needs new caulking and shower head needs to be stabilized. I'm confident he'll take care of those things. As a guest, I always notify owner. Finally, I can't say if his pictures showed it or not but likely I wasn't paying attention. I travel "heavy" and was staying five nights. I'm 77 years old and lugging my two suitcases and cooler up the stairs made my back yell at me. My lesson - read descriptions more closely. If I were 20 years younger there would have been no issue. Overall, I give this VRBO a 5.

Summary: There could hardly be a better location for visiting the many delights of the Hyde Park and Hudson River valley area! Located on a quiet street within 10 minutes to the Roosevelt mansion and presidential library, Vanderbilt mansion, Eleanor Roosevelt cottage, Poughkeepsie and many biking/hiking trails, we spent very little precious time commuting. The apartment was well outfitted with what we needed. My only complaint was the bed and futon were not very comfortable for either sitting or sleeping. On the plus side, the property is dog friendly and has a very nice private back yard. There was a nice stack of literature on local sites and we had a very good time!

Summary: Perfect cottage for our short stay and arrival of our new granddaughter. Norbin was easy to communicate with and after long days the bed was a cozy dream maker. This cottage has everything you need. Close to our sons house and we will definitely be back.
