2 Bedroom Cottage in Franklin, Eastbrook

This camp has passed on through our family for generations. The cottage has been updated from a summer only place to a year round residence. The camp is right on the edge of Molasses Pond in Eastbrook.
The camp has 2 stories with big bay windows facing the water. On the second floor is a bedroom with windows facing the water, a half bath, and a walk-in closet. On the first floor the eat-in kitchen has a beautiful water view. Also on the first floor there is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, washer/dryer, a bedroom, living room, and a loft for the kids to sleep in. The living room has a pull out sofa couch, several chairs overlooking the bay windows and a cell phone booster.
Outside the camp has a wrap around deck and a 3 season screened in porch. There is a fire pit near the water and a T-shaped dock. Great private swimming on the spring fed pond. There is also decent fishing on the pond; there are some bass, trout, perch, and even a few landlock salmon find their way around the pond. We have 2 kayaks that our guests are more than welcome to use.
If you are looking for some adventure Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are only 40 miles away. There is a public boat landing at the head of the pond if you want to bring your own boat. You can dock it up right at the camp on the dock. Ellsworth is around 20 miles for shopping and groceries.
The camp is fully winterized for year round fun. We keep the place plowed and heated the entire winter. Great location if you want to go leaf peeping, ice fishing, snowmobiling or 4wheeling when most other places close down.
Its truely a place to unplug for a few days and to take in all that nature has to offer. If we need to plug back in its a short drive to Ellsworth to get all the food, shopping, and cell service we could need. We have wireless internet and a cell phone booster just incase you want to checkin with the rest of the world.
There is room for parking for at least 6-8 cars and a field for tenting if the kids wanted to rough it.

Summary: This was a wonderful place to stay. We absolutely loved it. Loved the screened in porch. Sat out there during the dusk hours and listened to the loons calling out over the lake. I'd only heard that sound in movies. I would love to stay again if we get the opportunity to visit Maine again. Everything exactly as advertised.

Summary: It’s a wonderful camp and was even nicer than I thought it was going to be. Perfect place for a summer family trip to Maine. Nothing but good things to say. Oh, and my 4 year old and 6 year old daughters managed the ladder to the loft just fine. But they are both super good climbers and very physical kids. (I saw someone else post that they didn’t think the loft was that practical for young kids. I just think it depends on the kids—mine managed fine.)

Summary: The house is in a lovely location on a beautiful lake. Kayaking was perfect. House is well equiped and clean. Excellent lication for people who want to be close to Acadia and have a quiet place to come back to.

Summary: Great house, view from the master bedroom was amazing. Lake was perfect with swimming and great access to kayaks. We had a lovely relaxing time there. The bunk bed situation is a lovely thought but not so practical for our boys (7 & 9) they were both pretty nervous about coming down the ladder if they had to pee at night ;) Everything was SO clean and neat and organized. Definitely bring your own spices/condiments. Didn't feel like there was a lot to do to 'shut down' the place. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Jeremy’s place! The check-in directions and communication were excellent. Everything was very clean, and we had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the loft area and being out at the water. Our favorite night was playing around the pond at sunset and roasting marshmallows in the firepit provided. The loons were always nearby. We spent the majority of our stay at Acadia, and I wish we had planned for more rest days to hang out at the cabin in between because it was so nice. The screened-in porch was so peaceful and a fun place to sort all the sea glass we found in Acadia. If you are on the fence about booking this location, do it! We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Summary: I didn't get to go due to an injury but my daughter and her friend did.they had a comfortable sleep,awesome kitchen to prepare meals beautiful view of molasses pond .short hop to Walmart and bar harbor. Owner was very helpful with everything I needed.would definitely return.

Summary: We had such a wonderful stay! The house was super clean and the pictures listed do not do it justice. It is a beautifully well maintained cottage right on the water. We enjoyed the fire pit and the large screened in porch! It’s so relaxing with an amazing view! The kids liked the loft area and the bedrooms were a good size. The kitchen has everything you need and we did a lot of cooking! Nearest grocery store is about 25 min away. Acadia is about 30-40 minutes away but it’s a nice drive and well worth it! Bar Harbor is about the same and it’s a cute little town to visit! The property owner was very communicative and helpful in suggesting places to visit! We would definitely stay here again!
