This beautiful villa is located in the countryside, nestled amongst olive groves and vineyards, close to the stunning Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park. The villa has very good access and the accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom, a family bathroom, lounge/diner and fully fitted and equipped kitchen. Outside there is a swimming pool and a large terraced area where you can take in the stunning views - perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. This is an ideal base for walkers, photographers and artists, or anyone just wanting to relax and get away from it all. The villa is a short drive from the pretty whitewashed villages of Canillas de Albaida, Archez, Salares and Competa where you can find local supermarkets, shops, a variety of excellent restaurants and bars, chemists and a bank.
The villa is approximately a one hour drive from Malaga airport.
The coastal town of Torre del Mar is approximately a thirty minute drive away and Nerja is a forty minute drive both via a mountain road.

Summary: After the winding roads (which take some getting used to as they get steep and narrow) the final stretch of dirt road led us to an amazing view high up over the valley towards the white villages... and there's a small pool (enough for cooling off but rounds rather than lengths!) Kim and Jan were very welcoming and efficient. The property has everything you need (although a bit dated and no wifi and satellite TV limited to mainly German channels)... but for relaxing and reading and admiring the views - hard to beat. Beach a short drive away. Competa too. Truly a tranquil place.

Summary: We had a lovely week in the mountains. This is a great base for visiting Malaga. We were excited to show our boys the place we stayed on our honeymoon and to make new memories with them there. The amenities are great and there are lots of space. Our hosts were so friendly and we were really pleased thank you!

Summary: We really enjoyed our 2-week-trip to the mountain sides of Andalucia. The only thing getting used to is that the location is far off and it's at least a 30-minute trip to get to the beach or to bigger supermarkets. The swimming pool is perfect when you're not feeling to drive and just want to relax. All in all it's a really relaxing and idyllic place to enjoy.

Summary: Nice property with fantastic view. We enjoyed our stay and the host was nice and welcoming. The only negative was the drive up to the house which took about 25 minutes. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Summary: We had a lovely time in the villa, everything was incredibly clean. The location is very remote but if you like it quiet, you are right here. We had a lovely few days and really enjoyed the time in the sun and by the pool.

Summary: Just spent a brilliant couple of weeks at the villa just outside Canillas de Albaida. Listing is very accurate as villa has everything that you need. The kitchen is fully equipped even including things like spices, oils, salt, sugar etc and a small welcome pack (wine, water, crisps) which makes a big difference in my opinion. The rest of the villa is equally as well kitted out with towels, bedding, sun loungers, parasols, a radio etc. Ceiling fans in every room were very welcome in the extremely hot summer of 2022 as was the aircon in the lounge. There's a small book swap library and a collection of games and jigsaws. There is a telly but can't comment on that as we never turned it on, instead preffering games of cards on the patio as the sun set and the stars came out. Views across the valley to Canillas de Albaida (and Cómpeta beyond) are stunning and the covered porch area out the front was perfectly designed with shade to escape the sun at any time of day should you wish. Pool was a good size and nice and clean. Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday as the place really is out on its own. The two towns nearby have a sufficient amount of small bars, restaurants and supermarkets and the coast is a half hour drive away to access the beaches and bigger towns and larger supermarkets. As other's have mentioned, the driveway is a fun experience but not too challenging, especially as some of the roads in the surrounding area are equally as steep. Anyway are you even using the rental car properly if you don't smell the clutch every once in a while! Kim and Jansen were brilliant, really good communication during the booking process as well as accompanying us to the property on the first day to show us round. Happy to answer any questions we had throughout the stay (really great knowledge of the area) but otherwise they leave guests to themselves. Highly recommended, especially considering the price compared to other properties in the area.

Summary: Lovely property in a very peaceful location with fantastic views from pool and patio area. Access to the villa from track was a little challenging, especially with a small car, (a Fiat 500 was not the best choice for a hire car, but we didn't realise that at the time!) and maybe this could be mentioned in the details. Not insurmountable and we did become used to it over the three weeks we were there. (Eventually we parked just inside the gates). All in all, though, we very much enjoyed our stay and although we only met Kim and Jansen when they met us to take us to Tranquilla, they were very welcoming and approachable.

Summary: We spent 3 weeks in this villa and can only say positive things about it. The view is fantastic, the location is very quiet and, above all, undisturbed! If you want to have some quiet days for yourself and your family, this is the right place for you. In addition, the villa was very clean, Kim and Jansen are very courteous and were always available if we had any questions. Thank you for the wonderful time, we can recommend this villa to everyone without reservation.
