3 Bedroom House in Old Town

As of now we have an offer on property and no longer available for rental. Beautiful River view. 5 acres next to County Spring, Park, Boat Ramp, Playground. Bring your boats, PWC, . House is 1800 sq ft. The house is on stilts so there are steps to enter house. No elevator. House does have washer, Dryer, Large living room, Large dining room, Family room. There is a large pole barn for parties or just hanging out. There is a floating dock for boats and a deck overlooking river. There are several springs near by plus a water park on the river. We are 25 minutes from High Springs. 30 minutes from I- 75. 40 minutes from Gainesville. This is a highly wooded area with a lot of trails, wildlife, hiking, bike riding or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. This is on the Suwannee River so occasionally the river does flood and the house is unavailable. If this does occur you will be given a full refund. It does not happen overnight. We normally have a couple weeks notice.. Also we have decided to put the property on the market for sale. No one will visit or show property when you have it rented. If house sells we will have at least 45 days to close. There will be no last minute cancellations. If sold everyone will be notified that reservations will be cancelled with full refund. Summary: The only thing I didn't like about Bob and Elaine's home, is that we had to leave :) it was absolutely perfect for our family of all ages. We fished from the nice dock and docked our boat there, which is just yards from the boat ramp. We rode bikes, played horse shoes, grilled out, walked over to the spring that joins the property. We visited Fanning Springs which was around 15 mins away. Went to Cedar Key and Horseshoe Beach that was less then an hour away...the lift was handy for bringing up groceries and for my family members with bad knees. The beds , pillows, and linens where of good quality, the home was spotless and had everything from a waffle maker to chili/soup pots. We are already planning a future stay.. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Summary: We had a great stay over spring break on the Suwannee! This is a great location if you are looking for an outdoor adventure. There is plenty of space on the property and the dock and outside areas were great. There is a public boat ramp within site of the house which was super easy to access and there was no charge to launch. The dock is covered with plenty of room for a picnic table and getting around on both sides of the boat. We even had a second boat tied up on the outside for awhile. We went north and ate lunch on the Santa Fe river which was a very easy trip. If the weather would have been a little warmer we would have stopped at Turtle Springs. We slowed down there and people were in the water and plenty of space to tie up if we wanted to. We went south down the Hart Springs which was a great little trip too. We had planned to use some kayaks that we brought but didn't get a chance. The house had two and a canoe available also. The plan was to launch from the house and stage a car downstream so that it would have been a one way trip. The weather didn't cooperate this trip so we will have to do that when we return. There are plenty of ramps both upstream and downstream to make a one way trip fairly easy to navigate. Downstairs was a great hangout location. Under the house had nice lighting so it could be used in the evening. The pavilion was also great and it even had a TV out there! Plenty of chairs to use around one of the two fire pits on site or to watch a rather amusing attempt at throwing horseshoes! If you can plan your menu in advance and have the majority of your supplies before you arrive you may be better off. There is an IGA about 30 minutes away or a Dollar General about 10 minutes. The selection wasn't the best, but they had the few staples that we needed! Making the trip to the storr was actually not that bad past alfalfa fields, pastures, and a few hunting preserves with deer. In this area, the travel is just part of the experience. We had our two dogs with us and they were able to run the property. The listing does say 'mostly fenced' and it worked out just fine. With 5 acres total it would be hard to fence the entire property, but the areas within site of the house were contained and worked well. We even took them out to explore some of the trails and dirt roads. There is a county park spring within walking distance if you didn't want to swim in the river. Looking forward to going back!

Summary: Amazing stay! The property has so much to offer. It was a great place to build memories with the family. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal. There's so much to enjoy right on the property you have no need to go anywhere else. So peaceful, I returned to the "real world" relaxed and energized, I can't wait to go back. Excellent hosts both responsive and friendly.

Summary: Beautiful stay, amazing atmosphere, cozy home -the perfect stay for our family getaway. Many amenities for us to all stay entertained from, WiFi and lots of games, bonfire with an excess amount of wood and clean place. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Summary: We had a great time! The place was perfect for our family to enjoy the outdoors & have the comforts of home as well! Especially being able to bring our fur babies!! The lift was a huge PLUS.. my dad/step mom are both elderly & my dad recently had a hip replacement so it was perfect! Thanks to the large smoker...We had our 1st ever whole smoked turkey & Mac & cheese!
