Summary: Amazing villa in the middle of hills and wine porducer farms. Very spacious and clean, very well furnished. Excellent communication with the owner and the lady responsible for check in. Highly recommended.

Summary: Great stay in Villa Carlotta with three small children. Alberto was always very quick to reply, however the actual communication in Viarigi is with a lady called Laura who was lovely but spoke no English. She brought someone else with her who could speak a bit of English but it did make the check in a bit less clear. The property isnโ€™t so easy to find (google maps didnโ€™t recognize the road) so we met in the town of Viarigi and followed them to the property. We had problems with the WiFi then getting hold of someone to help was a bit difficult although not a major issue. We had small 3 children with us (aged 10 weeks, 18 months and 2.5 years) and it worked out very well with them. The gardens to the property are huge, however there are steep drops and no fence around the pool. This actually turned out to not be a problem for us but worth knowing! The jacuzzi was a bit hit and the pool was warm the whole time (August) so we could swim every day, also with the kids. Inside the house was clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. Cots and high chairs were provided for the children and fresh veg was available from the garden. The bedrooms are all large, beds are comfy and the air con was much appreciated in August! Definitely recommend going to the restaurant in Viarigi to eat - great traditional food. There is also a supermarket within a 10 mins drive which is open 7 days a week. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely go back!

Summary: This is a villa with a capital "V"! Beautiful building with more bedrooms and bathrooms than most people would ever need. Never a problem with hot water (my ongoing problem in Italy rentals). Large kitchen with all modern appliances including dishwasher. Fantastic pool with cover. Beautiful, well cared for grounds. The pool water was very warm due to the cover which we closed every night. Washer and dryer (which you could not run at the same time or it would pop the circuit breaker...easily reset). Easy ride from airport MXP (1 hour 20 minutes). About 20 minutes to Asti and about 45 minutes to larger cities like Turin and Barolo. Very attentive local people who checked up on us every other day and made sure the heat or air conditioning was working in case we needed it. Located near excellent restaurants e.g. Cafe Roma in town. Owner's wine celler with interesting selection of wine for sale. Great view of the Alps from the pool. I would recommend you bring a European cell phone as wifi and gps can be trickey in this mountain area. Best rental ever! So many rooms, I kept getting lost the first day. Highly recommend .

Summary: "We had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The property is beautiful, very well maintained and private. The photos don't really do it justice. There was absolutely no noise to be heard and it was incredibly peaceful. Viarigi is a village typical of the region, surrounded by fields of crops and vines. Other than during the village festival we didnโ€™t see any other tourists in the village during our stay and felt we were experiencing true Italy. The locals were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us. Asti was about a 20 minute drive, and we also visited Turin and the Italian Lakes. We didnโ€™t visit Milan although this is within driving distance. The owner has ensured that guests are well looked after. We were given contact details of people who could help us if there were any problems. The gardens and pool were tended to regularly and all rubbish removed for us. We had a couple of visits from people (one Italian, one English) to check everything was fine and they also let us know about the annual village festival which we would have otherwise missed. Our children loved the festival, the Italian food (we didnโ€™t have a bad meal), the swimming pool, table tennis and table football. We loved the peace and tranquillity, the beautiful surroundings, the ice cream, and of course, the wine! We would definitely go back here and would recommend it to family and friends."
