Positive: Impeccable customer service! Beautiful grounds. They were able to accommodate last minute reservations for breakfast and dinner.
Negative: There was one instance where housekeeping tried to enter to replace our towels without ringing the doorbell first. I think staff should ring the doorbell first for all instances. But all other interactions with staff were great! I think we only encountered 1 or 2 staff that spoke English, but with all the other staff, I tried my best speaking Japanese, or I just used Google Translate.
Summary: Amazing stay!

Positive: I was an absolute awe at the beauty of this place. Very traditional ryokan stay with a touch of elegance that you feel from the moment you walk in. Koi ponds were everywhere. The gardens were very beautiful. Very calming and quiet area. The room was absolutely huge and exceeding all my expectations. They even provided green tea and snacks inside room. The hot springs were so wonderful. We had private one in room that was so perfect. The place was perfect for our last night in Tokyo. They even have a shuttle car to nearest station ( 15 min walk) The breakfast was SO good and traditional style in the morning. Breakfast and Dinner are served in a dining hall with overview of garden. I wish I wasn't so sick to have enjoyed more of the breakfast. I never wanted to leave this place.
Negative: That I couldn't stay longer. It is further from station so please make sure to accommodate travel times here to ensure you can take shuttle car to Ryokan.
Summary: True to the name, very beautiful! Polite staff! Huge rooms! Worth every dollar spent

Positive: Omg, it was so beautiful! I asked if it was okay to roam the garden, and that place is massive! It's so wild how beautiful it is! I arranged for their free shuttle bus to pick me up at the station, but I wish I would've known that the bus stop was an option, so I would have had them pick me up there instead. They greeted me politey when I arrived, and they had English front desk attendants to help me out. There was virtually no one in the halls or the onsen. My room had free busicuits and tea, and a free water bottle. They also have room service and drinks in the mini fridge for a price. My room was on the bottom level, and when I opened the screen doors, all the koi fish came. There's food 2 min across the street if you didn't add the dinner option. The breakfast was amazing. I chose breakfast to be served at 7am. They had soft boiled eggs and natto in the fridge for you to grab. The ladies serving my breakfast tried their best to explain with my Google Translate. I recommend giving this place a chance.
Negative: At night, it's very quiet and a bit spooky in the room, but beyond that, it was great!
Summary: Very Spectacular Garden and Intricate Breakfast! Koi Fish in View.

Positive: Location is good. Pretty large parking lot right across the street. The breakfast was pretty good. Room was Huge and full with everything you need and more. The bathroom is large. The outdoor private shower was neat (I don't mean the private onsen). Staff was kind and helpful. The garden is beautiful.
Negative: At first I was excited about staying at this Ryokan, as this was the first Ryokan I ever visited and it looked great, but as time went by there were many issues coming up: - The room & bathroom were clean, but while looking around the room after check-in, I found 2 cigarettes on a pile of leaves next to the private onsen and the outdoor shower, just sitting there in a way that is very visible for anyone who look. This room is suppose to be a non-smoking room. This is unacceptable at ANY hotel, and I certainly did not expect that at a Japanese ryokan. It really killed the vibe and brought my mood down. Also, there were A LOT of mosquitoes, around the private onsen area mostly. - I booked a massage, which was great. The person preforming the massage was a sweet elderly lady. When she arrived at my room she was surprised to see it was not prepared for the massage (no one laid out a mattress or anything), we spent a few minutes locating the mattress & setting it up, and then folding it and putting it away once the massage was done. This was not a big deal, and I certainly didn't mind helping her set stuff up, but I think (and also judging from the lady's reaction) that someone from the hotel staff should have come to my room and take care of these stuff. - Before my massage, I ordered some room service. As I didn't get dinner before check-in, I was rather hungry. I asked the lady taking my order about the portions of 2 dishes from the menu, she said dish #1 was quite large and #2 was medium-small, luckily I decided to get both dishes, since it was the opposite of what she told me - dish #1 was tasty but a pretty small portion, and dish #2 was pretty large but not that good. - After my massage, at around 10:30pm I tried to order a glass of Whiskey. It mentioned on the menu and also was told to me by the lady taking my food order earlier, that they serve drinks until midnight.
Summary: Disappointing. I expected more
