Spectacular views of the White Mountains greet you each day from the broad waterside deck of this special rental on beautiful Lower Kimball Pond (The Google Map illustration in VRBO is incorrect - house is less than 100 ft from the water.) Once part of a boy's camp in the 1940's the property extends to the water's edge where the sandy bottom is ideal for wading, before sloping gradually to deeper water and a common swimming raft. The private dock is a perfect place to read, relax, or launch off to adventures. A shared private sandy beach, basketball and tennis courts are a short walking distance. The house has the wonderful feel of a Maine camp; a wood beamed cathedral ceiling allows for a light filled experience in the large central living room featuring a working fieldstone fireplace and connected open kitchen. With three bedrooms and a loft, there are accommodations for ten, two full baths, a screened porch, and outdoor shower. A ping pong table, dart board, rowboat, canoe, and sit-upon kayak are downstairs ready for use. Amenities include washer and dryer, WiFi, plenty of parking and lots of board games!
Lower Kimball Pond is a quiet lake approximately a mile across located just outside of the town of Fryeburg, ME. Good swimming, excellent fishing, and quiet canoeing take place beneath the stunning ridge of mountains to the west. Nesting loons occupy the pond and the birds can be heard calling at sundown. Nesting eagles have also been seen on the lake. Great family hiking is all around while shopping and many restaurants are nearby in North Conway, NH. Canoe trips on the sandy Saco River can be arranged in town. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, crisp clean waters, and the laughter of family and friends on warm days.

Summary: Beautiful house with open kitchen/living room right on the water. Plenty of kayaks and a paddle board. New kitchen with more extras than I’ve seen at a rental before. Very quiet and relaxing.

Summary: We stayed at this home for two weeks and it was lovely. It’s very clean and extremely organized and equipped. The beds were comfortable and the screened porch was a delight. We swam, kayaked, read and played games. We even saw a Bald Eagle! Our family rents a house every summer and this was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Peter and Cynthia are dependable hosts who communicate clearly and regularly. We definitely plan to come back!

Summary: My parents, sister’s family and my family come together in the summer each year. This year on Lower Kimball was lovely. There was plenty of room both inside and outside the house to keep everyone safe and entertained. Having additional beds/rooms allowed the kids who nap and have early bedtimes to have quiet space while the adults could continue conversations further into the evenings. Between the common beach and the number of boat options, all age groups we’re covered for activities on the water. We all really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a repeat next year

Summary: We had a fabulous week at this beautiful Maine camp. The view of the water was amazing !!! We took a ton of photos. The echoes of the loon calls, across the water in the evening, were eerily (in a good way) soothing.... like something out of a Harry Potter movie. The kids had a great time kayaking around the pond and swimming out to the floating dock. The house was well-stocked and the beds very comfortable. Plenty of room for 10 people. The house is a short drive to Mt.Washington in nearby Gorham, NH. I would urge everyone to venture to the top of Mt.Washington on the auto road. It is a great memory to make and share !!! We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation, off the grid, in Maine !!! #LOVEDIT

Summary: We had a great week at this beautiful home. Plenty of room for everyone. The only word of caution I would give a future renter is that the stairs to the loft are almost as steep as a ladder so the loft would not be a great options for the very young or the older members of your party. The owners were very helpful and hope to rent again.

Summary: We have been looking for a summer escape from our Arkansas heat and we found it on Kimball Pond! The cabin is right on the water which made "after golf swim" a daily routine. There are three wonderful golf courses within 20 minutes drive. This was our first VRBO and the cabin exceeded our expectations. Beds are very comfortable, two baths make life super easy, grilling on the deck is wonderful, and the water toys (noodles, boat, kyaks) provide lots of fun. It's easy to get to the cabin from the Portland Maine airport. We signed up for 2017!

Summary: The property was just as described, maybe better. Beautiful views, comfortable beds and pillows, well appointed kitchen with paper products ready to be used (you just had to replace what you used ). How convenient and thoughtful! The basement was a favorite spot for ping ping tournaments and plenty of room to play with toys ( came in handy the one day it rained). The lake had the most beautiful views and the gradual depth made it perfectly safe for children. The two farm stands near by are the very best in the area and the proximity to North Conway gave options for shopping. Some family members enjoyed the close proximity to mountains for hiking both easy and challenging trails, biking, and fun areas to visit. We loved this property and the owner was so thoughtful to call to check how everything was going and if we needed anything; such a nice appreciated touch. My family and I have been coming to this area for many years and this is by far the best property. So grateful to have it shared with us!

Summary: We had a wonderful week at your lovely lakeside home. We were all pleasantly surprised at the rooms, the mountain views and the lake. The early morning quietness that came with the spectacular view of the mountains and the mirror like lake started each day in a peaceful way. We enjoyed the water craft everyday, so much so that we never left the house for very long. The house was so well equipped with games, ping pong and so much more. We had a great stay and look forward to another next year.
