Chalet Nicole is ideally situated for holidays with family and friends all year round. It is a large chalet sleeping 12 comfortably in 7 bedrooms with free standing beds (no bunk beds or box rooms).
The chalet is warm with a large wood burner in the sitting room in the centre of the house. There is an open plan sitting and dining room area with wooden beams and a separate very well fitted & equipped kitchen for keen cooks. There are double glazed wooden windows downstairs with a sliding door into the garden, and oil fired central heating and continuous hot water.
Each bedroom has been designed creatively giving the chalet a unique character, from the very large "Scottish" bedroom through to the two smaller "heart" and child's bedrooms. All the bedrooms, except one (the child's bedroom) open through french doors on to either the front or back balconies.
The whole chalet has been described as "a home from home", with its attention to detail, welcoming atmosphere and the many things that have been provided, for example an extensive DVD library (450+), multiple games, books and puzzles, all of which is here to help you feel at home and enjoy your holiday.
The chalet is beautifully situated, being close enough to St Gervais-Les-Bains (1km) for easy access to its restaurants, shops, ski lifts and amenities, and yet far enough away to feel rural with walks up into the woods, along the river and the mountains nearby.
There is a stunning view of the Mont Blanc massif from the sitting room, dining room and garden.
The chalet is set back from the road with its own large garden, which wraps around the chalet, allowing for excellent socialising, BBQ's and a space to play for children, as well as a traditional wooden Mazot in the rear garden.
The chalet is beautifully situated for outdoor enthusiasts, whether winter or summer. It is covered by the Mont Blanc Evasion ski pass, catering for all standards of skiing and winter sports in St Gervais-Les-Bains, Les Contamines Montjoie, Mégève, St Nicolas de Veroce and Combloux, covering 440km of slopes with views of Mont Blanc. The ski bus stops near the chalet and the ski lifts are easily accessible on a constantly cleared road. It is a beautiful base in the summer for walking, mountain hiking, paragliding, biking, canoeing and general relaxation.
The chalet is well located being 30km from Chamonix, 70km from Geneva and 90km from Annecy. Italy and Switzerland are less than an hour's drive away for anyone wishing to explore further afield.

Summary: we enjoyed Louise's beautiful home. It is fully equipped. A large beautiful garden where the children could play and we could sit and eat outside. The contact with Louise was nice and you could always ask her something. in short, worth repeating!!

Summary: A beautiful chalet. Extremely well equipped and comfortable. All the bedrooms were spacious, well decorated and comfortable with plenty of storage. It was lovely and warm with a wood burner should you need it. The communal area was well set out, wifi was good and there were DVDs and games to use. We had an excellent time there.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Lou’s chalet...perfect for our family of 10, plenty of space, especially in the fenced garden which was great for the children. Lou has thought of everything for the kids from cots and high chairs to garden and indoor games and books. Chalet Rofi (playhouse) was a huge hit! The location is perfect for accessing the mountains and the lakes and just a short walk to town, swimming pool, tennis courts etc. We pre ordered pastries and fresh bread each day from the campsite 100m on the left after the chalet and that was a perfect start to each day’s adventures. Lou is a wonderful host who was always available for advice. We hope to return to this beautiful area and Chalet Nicole soon! Thanks Lou :)

Summary: We rented this property for several months (summer/fall 2016) and had an excellent experience. There are indeed 7 bedrooms, and we used all of them at some point for family and friends during our stay. Quality linens and pillows and comfortable beds throughout (so important!). The walls are not very thick, the floors upstairs a bit squeaky on one end, and there is some street noise in the evening. Having said that, we all slept fine - even the kiddos. We did lots of cooking and big meals, and the kitchen and dining area is very well equipped - loads of pots and pans, a mixer, a food processor, etc. etc. We always had everything we needed. We have three little ones (ages brand new to 5 yrs old), and the chalet is equipped with everything we needed for them, as well - high chairs, bed(s), eating equipment, a kid-sized table and chair set, playthings for the bath, DVDs, and lots of toys. What wasn't there already, Louise brought over for us. There is also a playroom outside and a swing set, in addition to a large fenced in yard with lots of room for running. The chalet is a 10 minute walk to the big swimming pool/tennis courts/mini-golf complex. Getting to Saint Gervais center is a pleasant easy walk or a couple minutes by car, and Contamines is a short drive in the other direction. Louise and her family are lovely and were very attentive and responsive. Although there are certainly newer and perhaps more chic properties in the area, this chalet is lovely and in excellent condition, has everything needed for lodging lots of people, is great for kids and is very well located. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived and had a truly wonderful stay.

Summary: Have recently returned from a fantastic holiday at St Gervais at chalet Nicole. The chalet was everything we expected and more....it is a really spacious "home form home". The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery, pots, pans and general cookware to make catering for 12 very easy. There was plenty of comfortable seating and a big log burner although we didn't use this as the chalet was very warm. It was great to be provided with lots of little extras like books, games for the children, tissues, soap/ shower gel, washing up liquid and tablets....and more.... (especially the large delicious xmas cake we were presented with upon our arrival). In our experience you rarely get these in ski rentals. Jamie and Lou were very helpful throughout the process, they phoned us to give advice prior to the stay and checked that everything was ok a couple of times whist we were there. This was great as we had not skied in this area before Great place...have already recommended it to friends and we are planning to return to it ourselves next season. Summary: Fantastic chalet, with everything you could possibly need - and more. Fully equipped kitchen - including a fondue set, dishwasher tablets and cling film! the DVD library was great (and much used after a day's skiing). The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
