Conveniently located 3 km (2 mi) from Castiglione D'orcia, Italy in the tourist area "Orcia Valley" and only 24 km (15 mi) from Montalcino. Podere Palazzo is a lovely vacation rental (200 sq m) with air conditioning, private pool and WiFi internet. The Ground Floor can't be rented and it is closed, as the owners live there occasionally.

Summary: What a tremendous place this is. The 5* house is set in the beautiful area of Castiglione. Tranquil location with amazing views of the wonderful Val D’Orcia region. Luc and Jacqueline are very kind and helpful, without being intrusive at all. The house is full with historic elements but carefully modernized with all necessary equipments. The house is spotless and in perfect condition. The pool was awesome. We will definitely come back to this dream house in this amazingly beautiful area. Strongly recommended if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation in the magnificent Val D’Orcia area.

Summary: An idyllic location amid glorious farmland with wonderful views across the Val d’Orcia. This is an authentic and carefully restored property which the owners have ensured retains its original character. The owners are delightful, welcoming and at the same time unobtrusive. The pool has a natural appearance which blends perfectly and sunsets are spectacular. Perfect for our family reunion for two couples and two children.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in Podere Palazzo. The owners are very welcoming and nice and share their experience of the region. The house is perfectly situated, in the middle of the Val d'Orcia countryside which allows to enjoy the calm and beauty of such a place. The swimming pool and other facilities are perfect. We highly recommend!

Summary: If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing retreat in the middle of the heart of Tuscany, Podere Palazzo is the place to stay. While we weren't familiar with D'orcia prior to our trip, it is an ideal location as it's a short drive from everything Tuscany has to offer (including Montalcino, Montepulciano, and Pienza). Definitely try D'orcia wine as well, it's up there with the better known wines of the area - but is a hidden gem. We loved it! We were traveling as two couples, each with a child under the age of 2 and the property was exactly what we were hoping for. It is perched on top of a hill with sweeping views of typical Tuscan rolling hills (every room in the house has an amazing view). The property is surrounded by some large trees which helps keep the property cool in the heat of the day, and the pool was an absolute treat after a day of wine tasting. The house is a converted old farm house, and both the interior and exterior have been refinished to a high standard. It perfectly blends rustic charm with modern luxury. I really don't know how our trip could have been any more relaxing (even considering we had a 3 month old with us) We highly recommend hiring a local chef (you can ask the owner for details). We hired a chef to cook for us 3 nights during our stay, and it was truly a blessing. Not having to worry about a meal on the day we arrived worked out perfectly, as we arrived on a Sunday and most of the local super markets were closed.. Going out for dinner is nearly impossible with young children, so having the chef come to us after the kids were asleep was one of the highlights of the trip. The food was amazing as well.

Einziger Wehrmutstropfen für unsere Kinder war, dass der wunderschöne Pool im Oktober bereits geschlossen war, was uns jedoch im Voraus bereits bekannt war.
