Casale Colomba is a newly renovated farmhouse with original features - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers, over 3 floors. Its private infinity pool and terraces overlook the beautiful Apuane mountains to the south and the Apennines to the north. Fully equipped and beautifully presented, the luxury accommodation is ideal for all age groups. The house has original stone walls with modern facilities and its own private gardens, BBQ and lawns. It is on the edge of a small borgo (hamlet) in the beautiful region known as Lunigiana.
Two of the bedrooms are situated on the top floor next to a large bathroom with walk in shower, double sink, toilet and bidet. The third bedroom (double) has an original vaulted ceiling and accesses the second bathroom via wide, comfortable stairs. The open plan lounge and dining/kitchen are on the main floor with direct access to the pool, pizza oven/BBQ and outside dining area.

Summary: This property is exactly what you need for relaxation. The view of the mountain and the well manicured gardens are BEYOND. The owners have thought of everything in the construction and design of the house and grounds. I wish I had more time there, and I hope to return.

Summary: We had a great week at Casale Colombia, waking up to the view each morning is hard to beat. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make our weeks stay. Louise kept in touch throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed to make our week the best it could be. A beautiful property in an equally beautiful and peaceful location.

Summary: Just absolutely beautiful villa. So clean and brand new. Stunningly gorgeous and well equipped. Nothing was too much for Louise. We enjoyed making Pizza in the outdoor oven. The interior design of the villa should be in Homes and Garden magazine. The lavender around the pool was not only lovely to view, but smell as well. Highly recommended

Summary: This is a wonderfully restored home on immaculately maintained grounds and pool with amazing views. From the perfect house amenities to the garden and pool this property may be "off the grid" but is close enough to stores, dining and sight seeing venues in Italy to make for great day trips and star filled nights.

Summary: This property is a little off the beaten track but so worth it. Whilst the coast and lots of interesting places (Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre) are all within fairly easy reach you may not want to tear yourself away from the beauty, peace and tranquility of the Casa. The old farmhouse has been beautifully and sympathetically restored by Louise, the owner and manager, and the gardens have been landscaped to make lounging around the fabulous pool a joy. When you feel like stretching your legs you can take a wander around the garden terraces, smell the lavender, pick a few herbs and vegetables for supper or even have a game of bocce (similar to boule). There is a pizza oven which you can use (or book a local pizza guy to come and make them for you) and a gas barbecue. The kitchen and house are well equipped and if there is anything you especially need, Louise was always happy to help. She could not have been a nicer host and was so helpful with all the questions we asked. We were only staying for a week but wished it could have been much, much longer.

Summary: We were so delighted to be able to stay at this exquisite villa. Everything was perfect starting with our incredibly accommodating host, Louise. They provided wonderful suggestions for day trips and things to do in this authentic part of Italy. You can do as much or as little as you like. We especially enjoyed picking vegetables for dinner from the garden. The villa was immaculate. Wonderful stay and we will be back.
