This Cabin is designed for the discriminating guest that wants something TRULY
UNIQUE! If your looking for a "One of a Kind" custom built cabin, I dare say this is it.
All completely hand built by a skilled craftsman who gathered all the logs, rocks,
burley posts, railing, etc. As soon as you arrive here you feel your self just relax! The place is perfect for hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, art retreats, fishing getaways, or just kicking back on the porch with a good book and the sound of the babbling brook to lull you into complete relaxation. Neighbors are tucked away, with only one family living further up the road, and a few below, keeps this place nice and quiet! Yet you're only 15 minutes away from Afton for supplies.
The main floor of this cabin includes 1 den/bedroom with a queen size bed and, a bathroom with tile shower, kitchen with a new refrigerator, a cute dinning nook, large living/dinning room with a wood burning fireplace. Upstairs loft includes 2 queen size beds. Down stairs is a large bedroom with a king size bed, a walk out to the lower covered patio, full bath, laundry, and a built in sauna room. There is a large covered porch around 3 sides of the main level, overlooking a small year round creek, and the surrounding woods. Also on the porch, is a new propane Barbecue. The home sits on 77+ secluded acres, bordering National Forest. All types of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, woodchucks, deer, and sometimes even an Elk or Moose will pass though. The log home provides an excellent vacation retreat for fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, golfing, painting, hunting and/or just relaxing on the covered porches.
All the beds are new with all new linens, The cabin is decorated with original art
work, Hand made furniture, a small sound system, a TV with DVD, and Netflix,
complete kitchen, with all new silverware, coffee pots, waffle iron, etc. All windows are screened, and an old fashioned screen door on the front.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin in Afton. The cabin is on a beautiful property and has a wonderful porch to sit on and enjoy the peace and natural surroundings. It feels like you are completely in the woods/mountains but are only 4.5 miles out of town, just minutes to downtown. The cabin is lovely, comfy, cozy, rustic, and unique. The craftsmanship of the woodworking in the cabin is amazing! There is plenty of space with the three levels for privacy and an open living and kitchen space for gathering. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Wonderful visit!!

Summary: We were so excited to visit Afton WY and our son who resides in that town. We booked this property based on their high rating and reviews. The property location is wonderful, and we really could not have asked for a more secluded and quiet location. However, the cabin was very dirty, and the owners asked us to water their outdoor flowers. We spent the first day cleaning the cabin from top to bottom. The second night I woke up to a mouse on me and I threw it across the room and later my husband killed it in the bathtub. Our daughter, who stayed on the main level, got to listen to rodents running throughout the house every single night. In total we had to kill 4 rodents during our stay. We purchased traps at the local hardware store. All the furniture except the beds was very uncomfortable and the lighting throughout the cabin was terrible. Be careful heading downstairs as the stairs are uneven and one is slightly higher than all the others also, if you are over 6 ft tall don't plan on staying downstairs in the master suite because you will hit your head on the staircase as you come upstairs. In addition, when we were headed back to WI the owners emailed us and said we were being charged the cleaning deposit and an extra $150 for the flowers because we didn't water them. So, word to the next renter - take pictures of everything because those flowers were dead when we arrived, and we did water them every day even though we were on vacation, and it was 90 degrees every day and they had their flowers planted in full sun. Take pictures of the dirty logs, the killed rodents and the dirty dishes, silver wear and rugs that are throughout the cabin. If you don't mind all of that please rent this property. I agree with other reviewers that the owners did communicate through email and text quickly, however, be prepared for them to keep every dollar they are entitled too even if it is through dishonesty and lying. This is our first poor review of a property and our first experience being treated so dishonestly. The owners told us they would not rent to us again and we laughed and thought we would never rent their property again! Renter beware!

Summary: Sometimes people say rustic in the title to indicate you might be roughing it a bit. Not here. The house is gorgeous. The towels, beds, and linens are all equivalent to 4 star hotels. And the decor and design is absolutely perfectly done. Everything supports the experience and ambiance of the home. The lot is wooded and we loved the sound of the little brook rippling through the yard just a few feet away. The kitchen had everything we needed and some. Our hosts were kind, communicative and thoughtful. This will be our new first choice every time we are in Afton. Thank you!!!

Summary: When you think of a mountain log cabin-this property fits the bill! Private with babbling brook, spectacular views great way to escape and relax. The owners very nice and helpful.

Summary: I can’t say enough good things about this cabin. It is so cute, and remote enough to feel like you are alone. But close enough that you have anything you need within a short drive. The cabin is bigger than it looks in pictures. And I have to give a AAA rating for the amazingly comfortable beds! So many other places I’ve stayed have uncomfortable beds, or uncomfortable sheets or pillows. But I loved all of it so much I want to buy the same things they had in this cabin. Very well stocked, and instructions were super clear. And the neighbors were all very nice to us as well! And big bonus points for them allowing us to bring our dogs. Our dogs never wanted to leave. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Summary: Family getaway that offered the perfect rest and relaxation. The cabin offers everything you need. Shopped in Afton for groceries. The community is kind and helpful. Visited the Grand Tetons and the Bridger Teton National Forest just miles from town. The owners are very helpful and responsive. We have a new family tradition.

Summary: We rented cabin for fall break. We had a great time. The cabin was darling and very cozy. It was tucked up in mountains and having the wrapped around porch made it fun. Seen a lot of chipmunk, squirrels, birds and deer. The cabin was clean but maybe a refresher/touch up right before we arrived would be nice- there were a lot of dead flies and dust. There was no window coverings so it made it hard to dress and sleep. The furnace was extremely loud if staying in basement bedroom. The 2 bathrooms were amazing and resourceful. Overall we did enjoy our time at this cabin and would love to come again next year. Thank you.

Summary: Very nice location. Nice bathrooms, clean and comfortable. There were quite a number of wasps and yellow jackets out when we were there. Almost stung my dog! But overall great and very nice property as well as owners
