Summary: We really enjoyed our stay and had excellent communication with the property owner. The house was clean, has very comfortable beds and there is seating in the dining room/bar area for 12. It doesn't show in the photos, but they have 4 stools at the bar area. The property was quiet, beautiful, and peaceful. Perfect for our family gathering. Across the road from the house is a nice wooded area (no houses, so it's perfect for family photos). We had fun playing shuffleboard and also enjoyed just taking a walk along the road with our family. Bring your binoculars and/or zoom camera to the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge (it's about a 30 minute drive from the house.) We saw a few alligators, sandhill cranes (way off in the distance - hence the need for binoculars), and coots. It made for a nice little family outing. If you go to the wildlife refuge, be sure to bring insect repellant - there were lots of mosquitos there. We had absolutly no bug problems at the house - mosquitoes or otherwise.

Summary: We had a good experience overall. The house and the property were beautiful and lived up to the pictures. It was really nice being backed up to the canal of water and with close access to the beach. So fun! We had everything we needed to cook and sleep comfortably for our group of 16. The house could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived and unfortunately one of the toilets was out of order, but we managed. We are thankful for the owners’ hospitality and would come back again if given the opportunity.

Summary: Overall we had a good time. The property was nice, but could use a good cleaning, and maybe a visit from the Orkin man in the near future, as we saw a few unsavory six legged critters. It wasn’t bad enough for us to not stay there again, but there is definitely some room for improvement in general cleanliness.

Summary: House was spacious and beds were very comfortable🤗👍🏻 3 bathrooms all located off of bedrooms could use updating, they were a little inconvenient for everyone to use since none were accessible from living area🤨 Ants were horrible outside by waters edge so fishing from there was a no-go 😢 Also, if you leave food out on counter even covered, the ants will find their way in. 😠 All in all we had a great time.😊

Summary: The house was large and had pretty much everything you needed. Right on the water so I could fish the whole time. We also had a pontoon boat and just cruised the river and waved at people and swam. Soooo relaxing.
